  1. Just he shouldnt of been taken before Fucale/de la Rose etc. Crisp already is looking to be a better goon option. But, still need to wait and see how McCarron looks next year.
  2. Maybe never can be totally sure with KHL being a solid option for prospects? But, Scherbak led WHL in scoring for rookies and I feel if still available when Habs are picking, he would be a good skilled option for sure. Will find out in a month who Timmins et al likes best.
  3. Deliberately injuring opposing player has no part in sports, it is just entertainment and crippling someone, possibly for the last 60-80 years of their life, is as unsportsmen-like as it gets and I would want no part in it period. Don't care how you might spin-it to justify or advocate for it, I am opposed. If he happened to get run through the boards, smoked with open ice hit or Gallagher accidently bumps NY goalie, that I can get behind, but to win is more important goal.
  4. Agree, would be childish (Lucic-like) reaction to situation, much more important things to focus on.
  5. When did hell freeze over? But seriously, loved the 1st period and Habs had good looks that ended up as missed shots and have few complaints. 4+minutes with goalie pulled was quite something. Got em right where we want em, all overconfident!
  6. I think trading down is a definite option; but, just dont know what 26th pick would give you in return, maybe replace the 2nd this year and maybe a 2nd in 2015, at best? Or maybe 2nd/3rd and agree 35th pick and 26th pick likely just a difference of opinion and quality relatively equal.
  7. Well, not the best start to series.
  8. That is a nice start. Good work and a couple good saves by Tokarski. and she is an even game again, still nice start.
  9. Nygren with 4 more shots and Swedes outshot them 40-11
  10. Vanek-Galchenyuk-Plekanec, will they have any chemistry? Tantalizing skill on the wings. Sorry to see Bournival sit, but want to see Galchenyuk get some playoff games under his belt. GHG!
  11. Or a jumbo Moan.
  12. I wasn't being sarcastic, was just curious which others you meant?
  13. I don't really mind Budaj or Tokarski, but simply need top skaters to play better to win. Or should of taken Ryan O Reilly, Tomas Tatar, Reilly Smith or Cody Eakins. But, draft is crapshoot, picking the 'best' 17 year old kid is tough.
  14. I like the 'go from here' part. Forget about who is in net and hope Emelin-Markov-Subban and top 6 forwards all play better game than the last one and will be a good game. Many said Habs were done after Game#5 loss vs Bruins, just another hurdle to overcome.
  15. You tossin in the towel?
  16. Eye for eye is BS and childish response. Should be bit more a motivator if anything. Is Tokarski a better choice than Budaj?
  17. And who are the 5-6? I am stuck on Glover/Dougherty or maybe Schmaltz/Scherbak @26-27th.
  18. Not sure awful and when he was on, puck was in Edmonton end most of time. But, agree on smacking Moroz was just dumb and I don't understand Hunter why he put McCarron on after that penalty?
  19. I would think Crawford and Bouche would be on Bergevin interview list in 2015-16 or 2017 if Therrien is lucky and team avoids 10 game losing streaks and stays respectable. But, also may go with a younger less experienced QMJHL coach next time, which likely are several worthy ones?
  20. I assume Dubynk is a Hab till UFA day eh? Or can they simply cut him loose early?
  21. Peter B 10-8-3; 2.51 & .909% Just 1-3-1 @home, but good on the road.
  22. That one I don't understand how he wasn't called for a penalty, very little attempt to avoid Price and he friggin smoked him skates first?
  23. I guess is a good deal and Condon may be closer to NHL playoffs then could of ever guessed, if Price is gone.
  24. No matter how you describe 1st game, few positives. Krieders' play and McDonagh (wasn't one of 3 stars??) was also awesom....sorry wrong team. Eller had another solid game but got schooled on faceoffs by Stepan/Moore. And DD was again killed by opposing centre and this time was by Boyle. Pacioretty played well and other than stupid penalties by Bourque, at least he showed up to play. Emelin with only 1 hit and Markov -2 didn't shine as a pair. And Subban was an icing & turnover machine, he looked very tired at times or just wanted to dump puck in the air/down the ice or long dumb passes to no-one in particular? But as many said, just one game and no indication of how series will play out, especially with 'fortitude' Habs showed in last series.
  25. too bad, well, London on again today and Nygren is on TSN vs Canada. Maybe 2 kids who will never put on Hab jersey for reg season game?
