No not really..maybe would be best? I dunno? I suggested it long ago that he may be a super winger; as he can hit, really skate (forwards, not so much backwards) well and shoot. And with bit of log jam on back end, he may get more playing time? But others suggested he can 'learn defense' over time and would be more valuable as a puck-moving d-man, which may be true? Hey the kid is young and lots to learn, so who knows how good a d-man he can be, given time and coaches vote of confidence?

Who said he will replace Markov (you of all people arnt putting him on pedestal yet are you?), he aint Markov, Markov was a forward turned into a d-man cause he was smart enough but even offensive d-men need to defend and he cant even do that in AHL.

Beaulieu is much faster and tougher than Weber, so more fit for wing duty.

Yes, Beaulieu on the wing may work fine, he will never defend well (not smart enough to be a d-man), wing is easiest position and just need speed and some puck skills which he has in spades.

As Bonne put it, "Gushing Praise" for much of roster last night. But, he also noted Subban had zero shots or attempts, which seems just odd? But also Habs are 9-1 with Sekac playing. What 77 said! I was never a fan of Gretzky, Coffey nor Kurri; but Messier (when with OIlers) yes! Not a fan of Ovechkin, but no doubting he is one skilled player, but irrelevant and you will never see me wearing a Kessel jersey. , Lots of good forwards, like Perry, Datsyuk, Getzlaf , Benn, Duschene, Tavares, Backes, Bergeron, etc that I would prefer to see in a Hab jersey over a Jagr or the like.

Hope they simply blow them out of rink from get-go.

I will never like cream-puff players (got zero to do with Leafs), if aint willing to take a hit to make a play, block a shot when needed, nor backcheck hard, wont get alot of respect from me. Dont care if are as skilled as Ovechkin, Kessel, Cammalleri, simply not "my kind of player" to root for.

Yes agree dosent count and every bottom six Hab is -, but if Eller is given good linemates, like 11-27, a hot Bourque (and not boat-anchor -9 version of Rene), or simply a Sekac and different story. How long till he and Sekac see PP time?

He also gave Dog goalies lots of practice stopping SH breakaways, when his Savardian spinaramas flopped on the PP, again and again. Even, played well in playoffs is a stretch.
