  1. Vail gets 2a in a 3-2 loss. 18th in OHL scoring.
  2. Thanks for update Ben. A bit of better sounding news at least.
  3. So you dont like Prust nor Murray? Nor DD signing? Galchenyuk, de la Rose, Thrower, Fucale etc drafting by MB? Outstanding Win Loss record since he took over? Me thinks your endorsement is lacking a bit of credibility. What next, you think should toss in the towel, fire MB-Therian and try tanking i suppose?
  4. He kicked ass on faceoffs, scored only goal and was even +/- in game!!! He is +2 for season while Alex is -11 and is only 20 years old with a lot to learn. Well put sir.
  5. Boullion's play had little to do with outcome of game. When Galchenyuk is defensively responsible. Dont know what unbalanced lines would do or why balanced (if that is what you call it) lines is bad? I like Gionta and Plekanec together, but may not be best line for Vanek (and he did get a point on another line, but a good player would produce even with Darche-Gomez as linemates). But, Murray outshooting Plekanec and Gionta combined not good. Overall not a bad game by Habs and 1 stat was difference .972% vs .875%. After 1st period I thought; '1st home game after road trip' jinx maybe not gonna come in to play, but Budaj helped it along.
  6. They were nil to begin with as his wife wants to be in Minni, so may be for best anyways. He is just a rental and I hope he helps get Habs to 2nd or 3rd round.
  7. I think Plekanec would need to at least be voted 'A' first and he aint got that yet, so why would he be a non-leader to being voted captain, he game hasn't changed in 10 years (cept fewer lazy penalties these past few years)?
  8. Because Beaulieu hasn't played much yet and is very soft. So how would he do with 16-20minutes, no one knows? May get really exposed and is a risky call, Boullion is pretty safe with puck and gritty player. Would I rather see whether Beaulieu can sink or swim with more asked from him, maybe? But he would likely have that 'Budaj-like' brain cramp, that may cost game?
  9. Ehlers will likely also be in junior 1 more year eh? He is fairly slight I think.
  10. I had forgot Budaj has good record vs Bruins and I imagine he is in, but I also wouldn't mind see Tokarski in either. I doubt will be boring game and should be a good battle.
  11. Did not know that, but thought he would eventually be traded to a top contender anyways if Halifax sucked next year, but not till mid-season.
  12. Lil Carey not playing tomorrow vs the BBB. (I would be flipping a coin who starts) But should be an easy 4point weekend vs Sens-Sabres. Aves and (believe it or not) Blue Jackets should be two good games next week, I think John Davidson should be good for Columbus.
  13. Go with 7-d till Captain Josh is back?
  14. Fucale just keeps collecting wins, with his 10th in a row, in OT today; Q-record now up to 113-32-12. His GAA 2.25 and save % .909 both looking better all the time. (Just wonder how he would do with a shitty team in front of him? Maybe see that next year?) Reway with 1a after two.
  15. I really don't care who is playing with whom. Nice to good looking options though. I think every coach experiments with lineups when lose a game or two, part of coach job description I think. And lines are changed from period to period by every coach, so are very few lines that stick for long, more player pairs are kept together isn't it, than whole lines? Bottom line, a good player will do well with anyone, if given the icetime (a la Gallagher).
  16. Has something to do with Lipstick and a Pig.
  17. Is trivial entertainment and Murray, as I have said lots, makes me laugh almost every game. I am in a 'could give a rats ass' about some stats (I hated stats courses in university, so maybe biased), I simply am a fan in good teammates who give 100% ( a la Gorges). Hits, block shots, zero post whistle scrums around Price all frickin year and a 240lb cheerleader that is much more effective than a Parros wouldn't you say. Should he be playing near 20minutes; no, but I would resign as depth d-man in a heartbeat, he wont block Beaulieu-Tinordi from becoming what they will become.
  18. Well, de la Roses' team down 0-1 in playoffs, could be bit closer to trip to Hamilton?
  19. Well....was a consistent weekend, not sure can find any positives in that game. Dogs are a lock for a mid-April start to off-season.
  20. 4 weeks and 16 game to go, before important season begins. Lots of time to get playoff lineup sorted out.
  21. I agree and just 16 games till real Hab season begins. And Habs have more games played than most, so will have a tiny bit easier final month schedule. But, I don't think any East opponent strikes fear in most, especially with Habs ability to beat Bruins.
  22. Not sure anyone would complain if Weise drew in and Bourque was cheerleading. Tokarski did well and defensively Murray/Yemelin with 9 hits and Weaver 4 blocks. Tinordi responded perfectly for Eller hit and Torres wanted nothing to do with the big rookie and am sure put a smile on his fathers' face. But when DD, Gallagher and Pacioretty are all -3, you know it likely hasn't been a good night. Some dumb unadvanced stats, Habs are 28th in takeaways, 23rd in goals, 24th shots for, 19th shots against and 20th in faceoff %. But still 9th best team in NHL, in most important stat. I thought would get a point/two out of Phoenix-SJ games, not quite same team without Price, not that result would be totally different, just hope he is 100% healthy sooner than later for sure!
  23. Should be a good game. Has the webpage header been tweeked? Go Murray Go! If Bourque just tries, even just a bit, he can be 'OK'. odd one
  24. Negative criticism isn't any worse/better than unrealistic positive fanatics, but, just seems nice that 95%+ of us feel Vanek deal was very good and that is nice for a change, that's all..
