What I would recommend is trying to maintain the muscle mass you have now and lose just body fat. Which is why I recommended earlier about the protein and weight training as apposed to only cardio

increase your muscle mass. You'll look leaner and maintain a good weight for your height Right now I'm ( 6'3" ) 239 at 14% body fat. Which is pretty good considering about a year and a half ago ( Jan. 06 ) I was 337 lbs at 30% body fat my goal is to be about 225-230 lbs under 10% body fat

6'8 and you want to be 220 ? that would be pretty lean in my opinion. Chara is 6'9 260 and I would consider him to be pretty lean for his hight. I would suggest you just try to gain some muscle mass and trim your fat % down rather than just lose weight. I'm 6'3 and i want to be around 225 and that's not really that lean for me.

Just because he's captian doesn't mean he has to be the know it all leader of the team ... guys like Recchi , Gonchar , Roberts ( if resigned ) are all still there and will provide leadership. One thing Crosby does have going for him as a captian is he plays hard everynight which is what you want a leader to do. So he might not be ready to stand up in front of all the vets and say follow me but he can certianly show them the way.

how tall are you again PTG ? Also make sure if your going to stay vegin to get as much protien as you can while losing wieght. Also recommend doing wieght training with less cardio than all cardio.

If your only doing cardio then your probably losing muscle mass as well as fat cause 5 pounds in a week it too much. Vegins rarely get enough protien to maintain or grow muscle.

So PTG Pronger is a punk because he has an opinion ? Have you ever met him ? My buddy works for Quicksilver and meets alot of Hockey players. ( mostly because the company gives them a bunch of free crap ). He was mentioning to me that Pronger is a really nice and respectful person ( as are most hockey players ) . Don't only go by what the media spits out to you ... I figured you being the political person you are would realize that. I think if Pronger hadn't said the "Canadian" media and just said "media" you wouldn't be so negative about what he said, or this thread would exist.

The only difference between Jagr and Kovalev is Jagr's desire to take the puck to the middle of the ice and make plays happen. Kovalev would rather stick to the outside and shoot from there. The only time he uses that 6'1" 225lb frame is when he's pissed because someone touched him ... then he usually takes a penalty. Jagr uses his frame ( about the same size ) to shield off other players .. knock them off the puck .. drive the net ... etc. I believe Kovalev could be just as good as Jagr but he has no desire to be. he's ok with just being who he is now .. a perimiter player who's scared to get hurt.

I think it would depend on how they lose .. he can stand on his head and Dallas can still lose. if he lets in some crappy goals that break the back of the team then yes he can become a Lalime type.
