  1. hmmm - just simmed ahead and got this ...

    23-4-2013 Eric Staal injured.

Eric Staal (CAR) suffered groin injury during the game in an incident with Mark Fistric (TB). He is expected to be sidelined for about a week. Of course, spending a week or so nursing your injury can take you off your game, he commented to the media.

is this what Cali will resort too with his troops?

Sorry man ... must have mixed in some roids with his koolaid ^_^

  2. Crap ! :( ... was very unsure about changing lines, since they got me to a game 7 ... and I sure don't have much luck in game 7's do I

Good series Rob  ... hopefully my team will keep your team honest on the way to the cup.

BTW ... there sure is alot of "Hart" in the South East division ^_^

  3. Tampa Bay Lightning

    38 W, 30 L, 5 OTL, 9 T, 90 Pts

Finished: 14th in the league, 7th in the conference, 3nd in the Division

    Goals For: 298 (4th)

    Goals Against: 283 (23rd)

    PP: 22.03% (9th)

    PK: 81.89% (8th)

    Awards:

Most Goals: Yuri Kruchinin, Antoine Vermette, Matthew Curtis (39)

    Most Assists: Yuri Kruchinin (58)

    Most Points: Yuri Kruchinin (97)

    Best Plus/Minus: Matthew Lombardi (+19)

Most Penalty Minutes: Matthew Curtis (231)

    Most Hits: Mark Fistric (272)

    Most Takeaways: Mark Fistric (245)

Most Shots Blocked: Shawn Belle (89)

    Best Rating: Mark Fistric (7.61)

MVP: Yuri Kruchinin ... 39 goals 58 assists for 97 points and 3rd in the league in the scoring race ... not much more can be said, he was very consistent all year long and was still developing in the early part of the season.

Unsung Hero: Mark Fistric ... he just does what he does ... nails people, fights, creates turnovers.

Future Star ... with a team full of young guys it's hard to pick ... Doughty and Kruchinin are the logical choices and both put up very impressive numbers this season ... but I'm going to go with a guy I hope that is not almost fully developed will explode next season ... Denis Gervais ... he's got the chance to really blow up and have a career year next season ... he really started to turn it on in the 2nd half of the season a

Coach's favourite: Drew Doughty ... 9 goals, 52 assists 61 points ... Not too shabby for a 19 year old in his 2nd season, and he's only going to get better ... his -18 needs to improve though but Doughty and Gervais are going to be a force on the Power play for years.

Recap: A pretty up and down season this year ... I love the fact the team is scoring in bunches ... something that has really been lacking in the past but the Defensive side of the game really lapsed ... need to find a better balance and cut down the goals against. I can't be too unhappy though as, Doughty, Kruchinin, Curtis, and Max Pac have all but fully developed ... Denis Gervais too huge strides in his development this season and looks as if he will be fully developed by mid season next year ... hopefully sooner. After being as low as 10th in the conference in the 2nd half of the season the team really came together and rallied to move up and grab the 7th spot ... Looking forward to the playoffs and hopefully another 1st round upset. Also looking forward to next season as about 4-5 more prospects make there pro debut at various times next season. Yannik Reindeau also made huge strides this season and looks as if he'll chanllenge for a spot on the big club next season as well.

  4. Andrew I don't know what you're complaining about ... at least 2 people think you have a chance at winning ... That's better than the none who think I have a chance.

ANA vs VAN - Anaheim in 4

CHI vs SJ - Chicago in 6

EDM vs LA - EDM in 7

STL vs DAL - STL in 6

OTT vs NYR - Ottawa in 5

CAR vs TB - Tampa Bay in 7

NYI vs TOR - Islanders in 6

MTL vs WAS - Montreal in 6

  5. All the "rebuilding" teams dumped all there good players before the season started ... also teams that not in playoff contention are not around to make there players available ... hence we have too many buyers and not sellers.

  6. Tampa Bay sends:

    2013 2nd round pick ( TOR )

    Adam Henrich: 67-75-71 CON 71

    Atlanta sends:

    Jeff Friesen: 80-76-77 CON 81 ( retiring )

    Ben Eager: 67-77-69 CON 75

Tampa Bay accepts ... I was just looking to add some depth to the forward lines since so many of my players keep getting suspended ! And now that I'm in the 7th spot I want to hang on to it ... I'm also hoping Eager will be able to win some more fights than Henrich has been able too.

Thanks Mike for the easy negotiations ^_^

  7. Great 4-0 sim for the Bolts ... leaped 3 spots in the standings into the 8th spot ... this team is starting to fire on all cylinders.

    5-3 Win vs NYI

    4-0 Win vs PHI

    5-3 Win vs DET

    5-3 Win vs CBS

Venom also go 4-0 and are now 3rd overall

  8. Was it also the same for Chicago? Because I just saw the lines werent changed...

Nah yours were fine and I did make changes ... I had to resend mine cause I put the wrong dates on them and guess I screwed up the format on the 2nd try.

  9. Because the game wouldn't let me do lines otherwise? With the Williams injury and Parrish suspension, you only had 11 forwards. If I have to call someone up, I assume he needs to be put in the game. If I stopped to check and make sure the absolute best player is being put in everywhere for the lines, sims would take forever so I didn't notice Belle playing as a forward.

You could've asked me over PM. :)

Right ! forgot that I kept Belle as a D ( in case there's a D injury ) ... no worries dude I'm not mad or wasn't trying to call you out or anything like that ... just wanted to know cause at the time I counted 13 guys including Belle.

  10. 2-2 sim for the Bolts ... started 2-0 then lost the last two cause of and injury and the unnecessary call up and terrible lines.

Jets: why did you need to call up Mehlinger ? Henrich was sitting in the press box and still was even in the games Mehlinger played ... Henrich could have just filled in for Williams.

Yuri Kruchinin and Drew Doughty selected to the All-Star game

  11. Right, but BG can get a conditional pick on Frolov. If he signs a later pick, if he doesn't maybe a 1st or 2nd.

Pleks won't be resigned, so resigning Frolov if he pans out won't cost as much as you think.

I actually like the idea, frolov is a big, RH RWer. He does play physical and goes to the net.

Any move involving AK, SK will be a 2 for 1 and a pick depending on ufa status.

Sorry but as a Kings fan ... Frolov is not a RW ( he's played LW his whole carrer ) ... he is big but he doesn't even come close to playing physical and rarely goes to the net ... why do you think he was scratched the other day ? The Kings have been trying for ever to get him to pay more like a power forward ... Frolov is a perimeter player that is one of the best in the league at protecting the puck.

Also I don't think Dean Lombardi will trade one enigma for two of them ... it wouldn't fit into the team he's trying to build ... especially if he has to add a high pick, even if it's conditional.
