Trap game for the Wings..They are a much better team than this... They are coasting into the AS break and playing a team fighting for its playoff lives.. Interesting stat by Gord Miller..SJ was 12 points out of the playoffs last season at the same point in the season..We win tonight, we are 8 points out...Gives you some hope..lol

JM was getting better results in regards to the points earned column, but in the long run, RC may be the better option, IMO.. Since the firing of Martin, it seems as though Eller's offensive game has started to grow and the consistent line juggling by JM was getting old which was causing countless too many men penalties...I just feel RC is a better situational coach as he knows how to adjust his system mid game and keeps a some what consistent line up together enabling a better chance to gel between linemates.. Martin signifies mediocrity..He has never won anything of significance as a coach in this league..He may coach a team to a playoff berth, but results in the post season have been below expectations...I also hear he wasn't a great ear for the players, either, which causes friction and nervousness among it's players..

Actually, yes...All were from out of left field..Did we see Pearn getting fired? no..Did we think JM was actually gonna get canned? I don't think so, and dealing Cammy during a game was certainly far fetched... Eklund is a blowhard and shoots everything with no actual knowledge of anything..His posts actually spam a decent site were there are actually legitimate bloggers that do know what they are talking about.. ....and when has the Habs EVER leaked info of that nature? Never..

Off the draft board, yes, but all of those guy have one thing in common..They are all offensive type d-man..We have enough skill on the blueline coming through the pipe..We need more grease..

I am with you 100%..I still think this team lacks D...If we are picking out of the top 5 and Griffin Reinhart is there, we take him...He has all the tools to be the franchise type of d-man this team needs..Great mix of skill and nasty..I remember during the 2010 draft and reading that the Habs coveted Dylan Macilrath..Unfortunately, the NYR picked him at 10 , buit we still ended up with a pretty good one in Jarred Tinordi..Macilrath doesn't have the offensive upside of Reinhart.. I think, if we don't land a center just out of the top 5, then we go Reinhart and I would be ecstatic...

We won't be drafting high enough to land Grigerenko or Yakupov...We should be talking about the 6-12 range prospects, IMO..

I just feel that we should go BPA if we don't land a pick in the top 3...All of the other d-man rated around Reinhart are more offensive/smaller type d-man...We have enough of those in the pipe line..We need a Weber or a Pronger type, IMO...The kid is huge, mobil, tough, and can QB a PP with his big shot... Yakupov is a winger, no thanks..Grigerenko is going 1st overall, IMO, and Galchenyuk may be gone by the time we pick..Forsberg is another option, but again, another winger..Its Reinhart then Gaunce for me if we pick below 5... I see the draft going like this: Grigerenko Yakupov Murray Dumba Forsberg Galchenyuk (Habs MAY pick here, but I don't think we will end up this far down in the standings..)

Ummm..Jared Tinordi, anyone? I don't see anyone complaining about him being the son of Mark Tinordi..I think if you have a bloodline and pedigree like that, you are a head of the game at where you should be at that age..Paul Stastny is another good young guy with loads of talent and the son of a great former NHLer...Mark Howe, Brett Hull, the Folignos, Parise, etc.. I seriously think we need to get harder on the blue line..With the talent potential of Reinhart, we could be passing up a great oppurtunity to get a Shea Weber/Chris Pronger..I honestly think this is the way to go if we can't trade up into the top 3.. Future top 6 if Reinhart were drafted 3-5 years from now: Subban-Reinhart Beaulieu-Tinordi Emelin-Gorges That's a whole lot a nasty back there with a great mix of puck skill..

To be honest, I don't see us picking in the top 3 nor in the top 5 unless we trade up to get there.. IMO, I think we will be picking anywhere from 6th to 12th range... In the prospects listed in that range, the 2 that are the most intriguing to me is Griffen Reinhart and Brendan Gaunce.. Griffin Rienhart is just 17 years of age, but has NHL size, already..6'4" 215lbs. I have seen comparisons to Shea Weber and Chris Pronger..He has a great pedigree (Paul, his dad, played 17 seasons in the NHL and his brothers are in the Flames system and in the WHL) http://www.mynhldraf...riffin-Reinhart Brendan Gaunce is a big, nasty center that has a great scoring ability..He also is already at NHL size..6'2" 200+ lbs. As bad a season we are having and as tough as it is to believe in this team going forward, it always feels so good beating the Leafs and shutting up the fans...I hope they enjoyed the humble pie we served last night..

PK is being over taxed..He is simply playing too many minutes and we can thank Gauthier for that..He decided to re sign Markov and PK is the closest thing we have to a top pairing defence man..Gorges is solid, but more of a shut down top 4 kinda guy that can eat minutes in the top 2 from time to time.. IMO, he is wearing down because he is so young..Mental fatigue tends to sink in if you are worn down which, in turn causes your mental sharpness to become a little dull.. As soon as we find another top pairing/top 2 defense man to help PK, he will be making the same mistakes out there..We can't be having a 22 year old logging close to 30 minutes a game and expect him not to make mistakes..Give the kid some help..He needs it..
