You guys have to stop looking behind you. Always so pessimistic. We're only 4 points out of 4th and you want us to sell the farm! Every team slumps during the season for a period of time and we just had our slump. Now we're back on track. This is virtually the same team that was 5th in the NHL two months ago and everyone was soooo excited. Have some faith for once.

I'll miss Rivet, he's like an old friend after all these years... but a first rounder and a stand-up defenseman who used to be a captain and has played on the World Junior team is a sweet deal in my opinion. There's no reason Rivet won't come back to Montreal in the off-season either if they want him back. He was treated well and has friends here. Recchi did a similar thing in re-signing with Pittsburgh.

He looked great in the Q with the PEI Rocket, but skill isn't everything... word is that he lacked desire.

Put Samsonov out there for 22 minutes for back-to-back games... if he's got anything for us, that's his chance... he did look like he was finding himself with Bonk and Johnson.

Crosby will learn to stop the whining. It took a while for Gretzky to grow up too. Skill and money don't make you a class act. The 'Faker' chant was great... and a learning experience. He needs more guys like Recchi to show him how to be...

... and Phoenix needs a goalie. He's an exceptional talent who wants out of the Dog Pound and out of the dog house. Aebischer is apparently on the block... and Gretzky isn't a seasoned GM. Maybe we can 'Pull an Houle' on him. We can worry about matchups afterwards. He's had a few injuries in his career but he can score. In his last two seasons of 03-04 and 05-06, he scored 108 points in 106 games and he can play centre and left wing.

Finally. A true test to see how good we actually are.....

Detroit is 'propped' up in the standings due to a weak division. The same reason they quickly fell in the playoffs last year... their point totals were inflated from playing weak opponents more often.

Do they still have player of the month awards? Weren't they replaced with the Three Star system of handing out weekly and monthly NHL awards?

He should have made the team before Latendresse. Kostitsyn would have been a top 3 pick in his draft year if not for the epilepsy concerns. Dr. Mulder took care of that with a proper medical diagnosis. He's got skill to burn and is a perfect fit with Kovalev and Samsonov.

Looked pretty good dipsy-doodling against Tampa Bay last night on the powerplay.

How many of those shots are actually scoring chances? That's the key. Long distance, easily seen shots count, but aren't anything to be wary of. Stats don't always tell the correct story.

Let him have some fun... let him play with Kostitsyn and Samsonov for a few weeks... I think Andrei is just the thing that he needed.

Kostitsyn was the better of two rookies tonight. Latendresse may have gotten a few garbage goals but Andrei made the moves that a player needs to make in the new-NHL. Hopefully they let him have some more fun with Kovalev... those were exciting shifts.

I agree with Patrick Roy completely... however, I was quite impressed with the mature response from Latendresse. Although it doesn't change my mind towards the situation.

How does Plekanec get a 'Not Hot'. Latendresse and his 11 games, 0 points, and -6 should put him there first and foremost!

Isn't is good to be 25th in the league in taking penalties? Doesn't first mean that you're taking the most PIMs in the league?

The more Latendresse keeps putting up zeros and negatives, the more his next contract will decline.

AK-47 is Andrei Kirilenko of the Utah Jazz And Kostitsyn should be in the NHL ad Latendresse should be in the QMJHL. Shame on Gainey and his crew for folding to the french media pressure.

Everyone has a little slump now and then. They're just much more noticeable at the start of the season. I like the passion he showed last night.

How can you compare defensemen who play over 20 minutes a night to a player who has rarely played 10 minutes/game. That makes Latendresse's -5 look even worse.

Another -1 and no points after the Boston game... the nine game experiment should end. Send him back to junior now before he plays number ten.
