I wouldn't expect to see him in a Trashers uniform. I'm sure some other NHL team who is in need of a player to build a franchise around will sign him. Desperate teams will give him all the money he wants.

I know the Habs players hang around at an Italian restaurant near RDP. For example, Saku Koivu and Sheldon Souray are regulars there.

Don't expect alot. Unless there's something REAL special about the card, it's probably worth not even a dollar. More specifically, unless it's a rookie card, a card with a piece of jersey in it or some other special thing about it it's not worth much. Newer card series tend to have something special about them. No joke on average new cards worth from 5 to 25 cents. I remember I tried selling some cards to a guy who runs a comic book store / hockey memorabilia store I knew and he told me in all honesty you could own a shoe box full of hockey cards dating 10 years back and unless there's something real special it's not even worth 20 bucks. Buying a Beckett guide is crap too even though their the most accurate people knowing prices of hockey cards but some stuff isn't listed. Check on ebay, you might have an idea.

Did you ever hear the controversy around this a few years ago? Supposebly one guy who was working with the Habs came clean and said that he was ordered to check out every equipment and stuff that the Kings brought in the Forum at the time. So supposebly they knew about Marty's illegal stick all along and were waiting on a right time to call the penalty.

I found it weird that some sites are actually reporting this yesterday when this signing happend a while back. Hope Streit gets a crack in the Habs line up this season. I just hope he doesn't end up in the AHL. I was also reading somewhere that even guts like Hamuis (sp?) and Zedlicky (sp?) from Nashville were guys who were drafted in the NHL a while ago but didn't make it into the league. They then went on to play in Europe where they got signed by Nashville because of their performance while there and now are part of an important piece of Nashville. Hamuis (sp?) made the all-star team last season if I remember right.

Unless he has valid proof those are authentic signatures those cards aren't worth anything As proof I mean a certificate of authenticity or like have a dozen of pictures of the player signing the card and posing with it near you on camera. It's so insane how many fake autographs are on hockey memorabilia. Just to give you an example, almost 10 years ago I remember going to a store with a cousin of mine and his friend. His friend sold someone a signed "Maurice Richard" hockey stick. Needless to say the guy signed it himself.
