  1. Curb your Enthousiasm? You sure you have that right? It's up for Best comedy at the Emmy's.I read some info about it and it says nothing about decorating. Are you talking about this particular show? http://www.hbo.com/larrydavid/
  2. Well that's 11 teams in the league, i'll accept 1 more. Habs77, you havent joined yet but you were in the league last year and sounded interested for this year, are u still interested? If so send me an e-mail.
  3. Als have traded DT Phil Gibson to the Roughriders for 2 Canadian College picks. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/news_story.asp?id=49524 This comes as a bit of a suprise to me because i thought Gibson had a decent game against Winnipeg filling in for Philion.
  4. Speaking of American Cable shows, does anybody watch Curb Your Enthousiasm, I have heard good things and the co-creator of Seinfeld (Larry David) is the star. I haven't seen the show myself, but i am debating on getting Showcase so i can see re-runs.
  5. Well Lapointe had a hairline fracture in his ankle right? I don't see how he wouldn't be back for the playoffs, unless his ankle completely doesn't heal the right way. Have you heard anything about his status lately?
  6. Well maybe i exaggerated by saying he had a "great game". But he did have 122 total yards, a nice TD late and he really helped preserve the game for us. He averaged a decent 5 yards a carry. You mentioned the fumbles, i guess that i forgot about those after his great final drive. Of course Lapointe is the number 1 man when he comes back, but Whitaker is going to be a serviceable option for us until he does come back. Certainly he is better in the backfield than Stokes or Graham IMO. Stokes had just 49 yards on 13 carries when he was given backfield responsabilities, i personally think he is better suited as a receiver if he is going to play on offense.
  7. Well the Als just keep Rolling. Stokes has been amazing the past few weeks in the return game and had that awesome TD catch against Winnipeg (the first game) Our D-line seems to be pretty deep, we didn't have Belli or Philion, arguably our two best d-lineman, in the lineup on tuesday and we still had good performances from guys such as Phil Gibson. You gotta be pleased with the start so far, especially the last few games. We finally play an eastern opponent next, against Hamilton. Should be a walk in the park. Whitaker, our replacement RB from Winnipeg, also had a great game on tuesday, especially at the end of the 4th quarter when it counts the most.
  8. Former habs Doug Jarvis named Bulldogs Head Coach and another former habs, Ron Wilson will be the assistant. http://www.rds.ca/cgi-bin/nouvelles?site=r...on&sport=#85185
  9. well we got 8 teams in the league so far. I can take a max of 16 but 12 is certainly looking more realistic right now.
  10. lol beat you too it by 1 minute.
  11. well i am as involved as i am in SKSB but no it isn't quite the same. We certainly won't have thousands of posts on the message board or anything like that. I'm just trying to get it so that everyone will compete till the end and be somewhat active (set lineups every week so there's no injuries or bye week players starting) until the end of the year. So anyone who wants to join can e-mail me at jimmyewfire@yahoo.com all i ask is that you participate throughout the year, i'm not gonna be pissed if u never talk on the message board or anything like that. 12. Teppo Numminen to the Stars, Darryl Sydor to the Jackets and Mike Sillinger to the Coyotes. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=48072
  13. Well guys i created a league through Yahoo. I noticed CBS has a basic game this year that costs 20 bucks, so i figured there was no possibility of a free one. there's a problem with the draft though, its during the day. Let me know if anyone needs it changed ,it was the closest draft time to the start of the season but if u need it pushed back i can do that. I just need the E-mails of anyone who is interested and i can send you all the info. I've got a max of 16 teams and this year there is defensive players not defensive teams. 14. Sorry guys didnt see this thread. I have every intention on making a new NFL pool, im just hoping that CBS will add the free game later on in the summer, i seem to recall that happening last year but i might be wrong. If in a few weeks the CBS free game doesn't appear, then i will make a yahoo one. I just like CBS better because you don't have to pay for live updates, as i'm sure you do in yahoo. Anyway let me know if anyone else is interested, last year we had too many lazy GMs that stopped trying half way through the year so if anyone new wants to join then that would be great.
  15. what did u just crawl out from under a rock Theres also a legends game happening on the same day. I can't wait, it's gonna be amazing!
  16. I don't think Matthews would sit Greene just because Stokes is back. Greene must be injured. Stokes as an RB would be interesting, however i find him a little too small for RB. It could work though as he certainly has the agility and speed as you said.
  17. sounds like a lot of money for an average defensemen. I guess it's the Rangers, i should expect contracts like this by now...
  18. Yeah that's why its hard to get too riled up over one loss. It's so easy to make the playoffs in the east it's almost a joke. Hamilton and Ottawa are the teams we have to beat out, I don't think Hamilton would catch us if we lost the rest of the season. The first couple of months in the CFL can seem very meaningless at times when 2 thirds of the league end up playing come playoff time. I still think it was a bad call, but i guess we have to live with that. I agree with you about Stokes, he didn't seem to be into the game yet, hopefully he will be re-adjusted to CFL play come next week. We also would have blown B.C. away in the early going if Calvillo didn't overthrow two long bombs. Copeland was outstanding again, along with Anderson and Cahoon our receiving corps was great.
  19. no way should that kicker interference penalty have been called. Kickers always dive on those, makes me sick that the refs by into it.
  20. I'd like to see Cujo be a jerk and deny every trade out of Detroit with his no-trade clause lol. Then see what the Wings do.
  21. how would it be awesome? The stanley cup would be decided before training camp even started. NHL is becoming a joke with all these teams that keep getting richer and richer and signing more and more superstars. I can't wait till the strike.
  22. thanks for all that. I feel much more confident in Theodore just from reading what you posted. Sounds like he is really geared up for the season and wants to prove his MVP was no fluke. Man what an awesome day you musta had, i thought it was cool when i played mini-sticks with an OHL goalie, that's awesome. Sounds like your going to have one helluva week.
  23. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=46016
  24. im not overly optimistic for the Habs for next season, however i love our future. What i'm looking for in the Habs for next year is to get a lot of young guys some games under their belt, and if our young guys contribute like they should, this season will be a success in my mind. Hopefully Theodore can regain his stellar play and carry us to the playoffs, but even if we don't make the playoffs, this season can still be an encouraging one for our habs depending on how the prospects develop.
  25. Ill go with the two Alberta teams, Esks and Stamps...
