RDS showed it. 6 Habs skaters in the defensive zone for a good 45 seconds. I think Laps wanted to go change on a dump in but he was too far and the Caps were coming back in the zone... but the guy who was supposed to replace Laps jumped on the ice anyway so the Habs had 4 forwards out there.

They need to score 5 more, just to be sure.

Good period, but I'd still like to see the Habs be more opportunistic when they lead and really try to bury the enemy under more goals.

Ugh. Our PP is frustrating me. Stop trying to do those damn tic-tac-toes plays down low and instead just try to move the defensive box to open up a shooting lane for MAB. Simple and effective.

The handling of goalies is actually the only thing Martin seems to have done right all season long. It makes perfect sense to come back with Halak. Price allowed 4 goals and took 2 dumb indiscipline penalties. If, say, Laps or SKost would have had two penalties that dumb you can bet your ass they'd have been healthy scratches tonight.é You dont reward a backup who comes up with that kind of performance with another start. Besides, the Habs are facing elimination. If you're to go down, you do it with your best players. I just hope Halak is rested. He usually comes out with good performances when he is. Well, the key is simple: Habs have to show up to play 60 mins. Not 20, not 40: 60.

Supposedly when Ovie was sitting he also threw some water from hsi bottle at the kid. I'm thinking it's because the kid had his flag blocking Ovie's face from the camera directed on the Habs entrance.

The problem with MAB is that everybody else -- except Markov -- are horrible at moving the puck and jumpstarting the offense. And I'm not even mentionning the PP. That's the only reason MAB gets so much minute. He's Mark Streit circa 2008. Down 2-1, I didnt want Subban because it's throwing the towel on the current players too soon. Facing elimination at 3-1, now the coach is justified to try anything he wants. And the game is not in Montreal, so less pressure on Subban.

summary: Habs have 1 call-up left, Martin wants Subban but its Gauthier that decides.

the slash and headbutt thing is something I actually have done to a familly member of the place iwas babysit back when iwas 9 or so. The guy was an army man and something like 6-4 and 250 lbs. We were playing floor hockey and he laugh at me or something so I just saw red. Next thing I knew after hitting him I was hanging upside down by my ankle from the basement ceiling. Still, that's what imean when I talk about playing with an edge!

You, sir, can't tell the difference between a player that's über-competitive and a player that's just acting out of frustration. If, say, Knuble goes into Price's crease and Price breaks his stick on Knuble's leg: that's übercompetitive. Nobody will want to go anywhere near the net later. Throwing a puck at the guys after a goal that was fair and square? What does it achieves? Players will stop celebrating?! Then trip another guy later again after a goal? That's not being competitive. This is the annoying thing with Price. To some, he can do no wrong. To others, he can do no right. Anyone in the middle is caught having to argue endlessly and make nuances lost on some and the others.
