I don't care how great Huet was in 1st period...any goalie that allows 6 goals is having a bad game. -

It wasn't a dive...it was a very careless play by Begin. Blood is proof it is not a dive. -
Perez is back and playing on the 1st line with Koivu and Ryder tonight.

Not sure if it already posted. Perezhogin is back in the line-up and playing on the 1st line with Koivu and Ryder. Streit returns to D and I presume Niinimaa sits. (TSN) -
I too am pleasantly surprised at his play of late. What impresses me most is how quick and accurate ghis passes are. He seems to find guys (mainly Pleks) with ease.

Didn't I also read that you can watch whatever game you want live on their website or was I dreaming?

With respect to Habsfan24...al of us should ban this bar. BTW I would strongly suggest writing the owner a letter. Explaining that you spent money and your dispointing experience was shared with your friends that all agreed they would never eat there again etc. I guarantee the place would compensate you. (you have to specific with the date, time, table etc.) I bet the waiter was friends with the guests and would surely get put in his place by the owner. Owners want to know if you feel mistreated and do not want any bad stories of service going around, regardless of what team you root for.

Your right about Tampa. There are not getting much attention...but they could be one of the odd teams out at the end of the season. There goaltending is once again their achilles heal.

Looking back at the last 3 games..well this one isn't over yet...but D'Agostini has 8 goals in those 3 games. (8 of the last 10 goals for the team)
-
If we are talking about underrated then I have to choose D'Agostini. This guy has been on a tear lately and has a fantastic eye for the net. He has a hat trick in tonights game. I think had he a hat trick a couple games ago too. For an AHL rookie he is really turning heads. BTW the Bulldogs game is on the NHL network tonight.

Thanks for showing up for the third period guys. It's like they are skating in mud. -

I actually like the matchup against Crosby. Lapierre and Begin are really getting under their skin. I hope he does. It is worth a shot. -

I take back every good comment I made about Abby. I will also eat my words when I said Bob was crazy to be looking for a goaltender at the trade deadline. -
I guess we will have to wait and see.

That's what I meant. and Mogilny? Even if he signed the contract after 35 then Kovalev could be exempt from the cap if it is proven that he is cannot play because of his health. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto.../BNStory/Sports

By making him play more defensive...go figure. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=6190

I for one hope the Habs resign both Bonk and Johnson. I would expect however for them to take reduced salaries as they are great shut-down players. (Both guys were considered Selke candidates at the halfway point in the season) I am all for giving rookies a chnace but lets not go overboard. A lot can be said for experience. Imagine a couple injuries and you are suddenly replacing Chipchura and Grabovski with locke and Ferland Money will be saved since Rivet is gone. Niinimaa gives the a couple more million. Replacing Abby with Halak save another million. If Kovalev does have to retire then the Habs can get his salary back ala Lamoriello style. That is a lot of money to resign Souray and markov and still dip into the free agent market. We can also be sure Downey is a goner....and the cap is going up again! Just listen to Ovechkin: WASHINGTON POST: Tarek El-Bashir reports Capitals superstar Alexander Ovechkin points to his club's recent 8-game losing skid as further proof his team needs more depth next season to be competitive. "We need players. We need help. We are young, that's why we need guys who have experience, guys who [have played in the] playoffs. Sometimes experience wins the game", said Ovechkin. El-Bashir said Ovechkin's comments reflect a growing opinion amongst the club's core players. Ovechkin acknowledged that owner Ted Leonsis has promised management will increase payroll for next season to bring in some veteran talent.

A good leader but he was caught in a numbers game. He showed us way too many times that he was having difficulty keeping up with the speed of the game. That being said I would have loved him on the team as a 3rd pairing, hard-nosed, leader that makes half as much money as he is. A good addition for a playoff run which is what the Sharks saw. The reason Rivet is getting 24 mins a game is because he is on the Sharks 1st powerplay unit and getting 5-6 mins a game on the PP. Carle is only getting half that! We see this often when players get traded. The newly acquired players are always given a chance to shine to prove to fans their worth. Time will tell how Rivet fairs and if he gets re-signed.
