  1. First off, Price hasn't looked great, I will admit, but the Buffalo game was hardly his fault. The first two goals were not his fault, he had no chance on either, especially the first, it was a bad bounce right to Roy. If the team quit because of Price's demeanour after a goal, then we have bigger problems than Carey Price. Lets face it, the team has hung Price out to dry for a lot of this bad stretch he has had. It's not all Carey's fault. With that said, Price hasn't been making saves he shouldn't, which is what you need a goalie to do. Price has no confidence right now, as long as the team in front of him plays as bad as they have and gives up as many quality scoring chances as they have, he won't be getting it back anytime soon. I don't see any need to do something with Price right now, Jaro is playing well so lets ride him. Carey will get it figured out, he is still our future, one bad stretch over an otherwise stellar, albeit short, career does not mean we need to get rid of him. Let Carey play the backup role for a while and hopefully he figures things out. As for the partying, I don't know what the big deal is, these are young NHL players with a lot of money, THEY ARE GOING TO PARTY, heck I still party and I am married with one child and another on the way, the only difference is pictures of me don't get emailed around and analysed to death. Get over the partying boys, it's going to happen. Jaro is playing well, Carey is struggling, ride Jaro for now. The team in front of those two is a bigger concern to me, we need to play better.
  2. There are things we need, no doubt, but I think there are things we need to keep that are more important. Komisarek, Plekanec and A. Kostitsyn need to get under contract. Enough of this two year crap, Komi is a UFA after next year, Pleks would be a RFA and would probably get an offer sheet. Those are the top priorities IMO. We have to remember we have a very young team, outside of of Koivu and Kovalev, who really are not that old, we have no players of note that are old. Breisbois and Smolinski do not count as players of note. So I think if we made no changes, we would still be better next year. On defense, I don't think we need much, we have a pretty good topo 4, Markov, Komisarek, Hamrlik, and Georges, O'Byrne and Boullion round out the top 6. Boullion DOES NOT need to go, he is a pretty good bang for your buck type of guy. Georges made huge strides this year, he is only 23 and going to get better. I am not crazy about O'Byrne but he is also young. I think we need one more guy on D to fill the 7th man spot, Carle and Valentanko will get their shots but they need ice time and would be better suited to play in the AHL than fill the 7th man. Briesbois would be fin for me. On offense, I think a bigger name forward is needed. Rolston is for sure my first choice, Hossa second. Rolston could fill the void, if there is one left by Streit on the PP. Another great 4th line guy would be Cooke, I think we need a good pest, team him with Lapierre, Begin/Kostopolos and you have something. Not sure we need a centre that badly. I think Chipchura will be ready for third line duty, he is a prototypical third line centre. He is never going to score many points for us. Streit - not good enough on D, not good enough on O, pretty sure we can replace him on the PP, see Sheldon Souray. Smolinski - don't need him, would rather have a Matt Cooke who would probably be cheaper. Dandaneaut - I don't think he fits anywhere, buy him out. Emelin - first off he hasn't said he is coming over and secondly, he will need some seasoning in the AHL, so forget about him in the lineup next year. Pacioretty - can't see him being ready next year but would like to think he could, his size would be welcomed. Like I said, even if we do nothing we are better. I trust Bob will do whats right for our beloved Habs!!!!!!!!!
  3. Yes lets all settle down a bit here. We are two games in and we are talking about sending guys down and questioning the play of others. Maybe the Penguins should send Crosby down, after all he only has one point. We have to wait at the very minimum, 5 games before we start chopping heads off. Go Habs Go A buddy of mine, die hard Penguins fan, predicted a shutout for Price. That would be nice!!!
  4. Would like to see the following lineup: (ignore wingers being on the wrong side) Smoke - Koivu - Ryder Kovey - Grabs - #### Higgins - Pleks - Lats Murray - Chips - Kostopolos Murray in there only because we are playing the pens. I think Smolinski with Koivu and Ryder doesn't hurt Koivu and Ryder at all, veteran with them could be good. Then have Higgins with Pleks and Lats to add some more speed and create a potentially lethal line. I know lats hasn't been playing well, but give him more than two games before we demote him. Whatever we end up with - GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Higgins is a great choice, hopefully he can stay healthy too because I think he is due for a big year. 70+ points!
  6. This is a great Idea. I have always wanted a third jersey. Main color being the blue we currently have. You could just swap the colors in our dark jersey, the red for Blue, it would look GREAT!
  7. We have do have a problem but it is a good one. I have been going through the scenarios and cannot find room for Sundstrom other than the fourth line. Here is what i would like to see: Zednik, Koivu, Kovalev Latendresse/Higgins, Ribeiro, Ryder Hossa, Bonk, Bulis Perezoghin, Begin, Sundstrom Vandermeer as the 13th man, inserted when needed. I assume Guy will go back to Junior, don't dislike Dags but I think we have better guys for the job and I really think Hossa will play with Bonk on the third line. As for the D, I agree the first 5 are set leaving Hainsey, Boullion and Streit battling it out for the final 2 spots. I agree we could package up maybe a Pleckanec and Hainsey or whoever for a good D-Man. Its gonna be fun though.
  8. C'mon, thats a bad trade, Vincent is not worth Theo and Riberio is just starting to come on, Price is not gonna be ready any time soon. Stop this nonsense, Vincent would be a good addition next year if he is a UFA, thats it.
  9. I am glad everyone agrees on what Bonk is there for. I do think that Hossa might get a shot on the third with Bonk, he will never be the offensive guy that his brother is, but he has the size to play the 3rd with Bonk and Bonk has already said he is looking forward to playing with him. Not sure how his defensive skills are though. Zednik - Koivu - Kovalev Higgins/Zogh - Riberio - Ryder Hossa - Bonk - Sundstrom Bulis - Begin - ???? Souray Komisarek Rivet Dandenault Markov Hainsey Boullion Streit Could use an Anson Carter to play the wing on the second line but we have lots of young guys so we are ok if Bob doesn't make any more moves.
  10. I have to admit I am getting a little impatient, when are we gonna sign someone and someone good. Here are my top choices: Forsberg Kovalev Naslund Satan Karyia
