  1. Question answered... You can now delete this thread...
  2. Consider this a free lesson... Wikipedia Plus/Minus Definition
  3. Brace yourself Yokozuna.... You're about to get Tachiai-ed by KoZed
  4. Pleks should know him from Hamilton. I think they were teammates back when Edmonton and Montreal used to share the same farm team. Now about Kovy; maybe Conklin was asking him over for Thanksgiving...
  5. But I'm sure that's what she was wearing underneath her snowsuit...
  6. Seeing as to how this cost us the win, I sure as hell hope this is what knocked on your door... Otherwise, you have no excuse
  7. You never, ever bash a youngster who makes an mistake that he knows and feels bad for. You support him and help him regain his confidence. This kid will become special. All it's gonna take is patience. Support him when he's down; give him tough love when he's performing. Not being patient with the learning curve of young defencemen can turn into a dangerous game of russian roulette. Need I remind you of the like of Beauchemin and Robidas. I'd rather see O'Byrne screw up than be forced to watch Brisebois and Dandenault out there patroling our zone. By the way, are there many 6'6" 230+lbs defencemen out there? Didn't think so..
  8. Somebody was lending Sharks and we didn't hear anything about it?? (Hate sounding like a wise ass but I couldn't resist...No offence of course!)
  9. I swear, sometimes I feel like you are in my brain. Couldn't have said it any better myself, especially the part concerning Komisarek. This game on Saturday means a whole lot more than most fans (and probably players) think. The last thing we need is to further boost the confidence of the Bruins and have them thinking that we have now become their bitch..
  10. Barry had a better chance of starring in The Saw VI than sticking around with the monkeys running this team...
  11. Sorry to break it to you buddy, but the US is off limits for RDS. Don't know why, but I found out when i was in NYC for business...
  12. With rabid Habs fans anxious about the prospects of a Stanley Cup along with the vibe around the city for the 100 yr celebration, I wouldn't be surprised.. We have seen stranger things...(Like George W. in the White House for 8 yrs..)
  13. I almost always agree with what Wamsley01 says, but I'm gonna agree with CerebusClone on this one. I think the line will show a different dynamic with Higgins. Way more hustle and pressure and speed. Plus, I don't think Latendresse needs to consider this a demotion. Heck, he's on a line with Lang and S.K. It's not like he's burried on the 4th line or something...
  14. Welcome back boys!! It feels like the season is just starting all over again with this long layoff. Not playing hockey sucks! Anyway, should be a tight game. Hope our boys haven't been affected by the break. He're hoping Higgins get the green light Oh, and I so hope Big "french" George dances the rumba with Big "Greek" George!!
  15. Chipchura - Blair Jones He beat the livin' shot out of him....
  16. That makes two of us. I remember, summer of 1989, my dad owned a restaurant in Bertierville and I was working there for the summer. Some customer forgot a copy of "Allo Police" (or one of those newspapers) with some scanty Mitsou pictures.. Of course the cooks stole the paper, cut out the pictures and stuck them on the freezer door..
  17. I saw it this morning and I must admit, I was flabbergasted.... It will help all of us remember why we love this team so much... I commend you Mr. Dave Hodge on a job well done (especially coming out of the Toronto Sports Network) TSN - What's in a name - Dave Hodge
  18. Holy shit that's u?? Ur one fierce looking mother f&cker!!! Talk about hate.... (cool pic by the way, who took it??)
  19. The thing that worries me is that the quality last year was way better than what it's been so far. They may be having problems with their "high speed" version, but that's still no excuse. They might have tried bettering the product and screwed it up in the process.. Whatever the case, FIX IT FAST!!!
  20. They better not cause I'm gonna come hunting them down. The quality has been garbage so far. Nothing like what it was during the playoffs last year. I have high speed as well, but I only seem able to connect to the low crap quality. I also tried watching the Leafs game on CH Express and even that was a disaster... :contract:
  21. Sorry to break it to you bud, but you didn't respect the deadline. That means your contribution isn't valid. Tough luck..
  22. Thank you very much BTH. Your spot on about TK. A lot of people get excited about the fancy players on our team but tend to overlook other ingredients which are needed in order to have a successful team. I'm gonna take the liberty to re-post something which i wrote a couple of weeks ago..... Listen, I know I'm a little bit biased cause he's Greek, but Kostopoulos has a lot of attributes that every successful winning team needs. A) He doesn't complain, doesn't need to play a lot of minutes, or dress every game B) He'll lay his body in front of a truck if he has to C) He's cheap D) Will stand up for his teammates even when they do something foolish like steal a purse.. Yet his most important intangible is that he has the heart of lion. And he proved it time and time again last year. Just remember that when a lot of his teammates were turtleing during the Playoffs, he wore his heart on his sleeve. Every successful team needs at least one player like this. Look at Detroit's success. You think Detroit doesn't have better players/prospects than Chris Chelios and Sandy McCarthy? They do, but Detroit has understood what these guys bring to the team. I know it's a little ludicrous to compare McCarthy and Chelios to Kostopoulos since they don't quite add up, however they are players whom teammates feed positive energy off of. If the Habs expect to contend for the Cup (and trust me they will), they have to find players who can do this. (and by this I mean bring positive energy, lead by example, speak from experience, take a bullet for the team etc.) Unfortunately, they don't have one person who brings all these attributes to the table. However they have the likes of Begin and Kostopoulos who bring heart, energy and teamspirit. You think they needed to sign Brisebois? No way in hell. They could have used one of the many defensive prospects which would have been a cheaper and wiser investment. They kept him on board because Brisebois has certain intangibles which are necessary for the Habs. He's a proud French Canadien who understands the significance of winning a Cup in Montreal. Some could argue that Carbonneau could fill that role as well, however, as a teammate it is sometimes easier to relate to a teammate than a coach. Consider Brisebois a mentor to the younger players, especially Latendresse and Lapierre. Bottom line is that although I think it's great to have a team filled with talented players throughout the ranks, it is still important to hold a proper balance. These intanbigles are NOT EASILY REPLACED! And on a team with very talented players, they become even more necessary and useful. :hlogo:
