Chucky's young. I like to think of Seguin as a great comparison because of how their production as style have been similar, but maybe that's because I'm just hoping Galchenyuk can put up more than 65-75 and be a real ppg player. I still think he has that potential yet.

I agree with this too though. I mean a lot of us hated the Therrien hire, and then he actually had a really good short season. He actually looked to be making good moves. Fast forward and a lot of us are calling for his head again Despite his winning record! And I'll admit I've criticized him quite a bit.

I think part of the reason Roy is coaching so well is because he was a quick tempered player with a lot of passion who knew exactly what he needed. I wonder how many times as a player Roy thought "the coach should be doing this." Roy himself is the type of player that would be hard to control (Ala pk). I think Roy would understand pk and the young guns MUCH better than Therrien, because he's been in their shoes as a high profile star. He knows what would have worked best for him, and probably applies that to how he coaches

And really.. Bouillon with more ice time than everyone but Subban again.. I know they were partner but come on. What team can excel with bouillon in the top pairing?

Definatey. As much as I still believe we have too many small players in our top 6, I would have no problems with Desharnais as one of our centres if he continues this kid of play. I was definitely ready or him to go in the fall, but I'm glad he's proving me wrong now! Once Briere and Gio are gone the size hopefully won't be a problem! (That being said Briere has been playing well, and Gio is a good two-way player)

Yep the reports say he's out for more rest. Not really the injury. gotta say guys, it might have been another OT game, but a comeback like that just has to do something good for the mind frame in the locker room. Such an awesome end. Don't care what people have to say about the reffing, the Habs still clawed their way back

I'm not sure they are knee jerk reactions. These feelings are often reiterated after a win. "We got lucky to come out with 2 points" or "I don't like that we won 7/8 games in OT" types of things are said a lot. The problem is many of us aren't happy (me included) with the way we win a lot of games. We lack scoring, and it's frustrating. I have a lot of friends who are leafs fans, and despite a nearly identical record, are much happier with the team, because boy can they score and entertain (I know, it hurts.) On top of this, bizarre coaching decisions compound the frustration. I'm happy Bergeron acquired Vanek. I like what it means. But I still don't think this team has what it takes with the way it is put together mixed with price and gorges out.

Hopefully we can have a bounce back game after Phoenix. I want to see vanek with a little more ice time too

I want to see plex get a proper 1st liner for the first time since kovalev (that year he put up 70 points). With this as a possibility Chucky - plex - vanek (reliable and dangerous) Patches - DD - Gallager (exploitation line!) Briere - Lars - gionta (two-way scoring depth) Prust - white - Moen/Weise I think someone already proposed this line up. Whichever way you spin it, adding a first line winger was exactly what we needed. Props to Bergy. Didn't think he had the balls but he shut me up! More faith in him now than being just another "mediocre team" GM. Either we reap the benefits or pay the consequences and I like that. Better than this boring same old all the time.

This deal keeps getting better and better. I'm just thinking about how terrrrrible isles fans must feel. At best, they get Colberg and a 2nd.
