  1. haha way to go boys......This is no place for Leaf fans!! Misos Milakos is here no more!......:-^ haha :ghg:
  2. Yeah I saw the highlights as well.....it was only a scrimmage so we cant say much about it...His real test will be tonight... I also saw a vintage Theo save on Lecavalier.....He made a big save first then also snagged Lecavaliers rebound out of the air, and flashed the glove afterwards!!!.... :ghg:
  3. I've always been wondering how long it would be before some dumb ###### joined the forum just to bash the Habs....Well wait no longer...Misos Milakos to the rescue! hahaha.. What a loser.......... Heres to Milakos :-^ Everyone bash Milakos with a :-^
  4. Shouldn't be on the team????? If you think that way, you shouldnt be a part of Habsworld!. :-^ :-^ :-^
  5. After last nights game, while Brodeur played a solid half, Luongo looked a bit shaky. I know its tough to come into a game halfway through after sitting on the bench for the first half, but this may have given theo a chance to grab the #2 spot.. If he plays solid in his half of tomorrow nights game he should get a long look!.... I wish the Theodore of 2002 would come back and completely steal the Show, leading Canada to Gold!
  6. The reason we are so hung up on Kovalev, is beacause in last seasons playoffs kovy showed us what its like to have a Super Star Talent on our team, something that most habs fans have forgotten all about... Kovalev is by far the most talented free agent out there, he's a player who can make things happen by himself and create things for his teammates...Most of the other free agents out there are only as good as there teamates make them, which is not what habs fans and gainey want.... On the other hand I do see where your coming from, if we sign Kovalev and he doesnt really want to be here...He could be a bum just like his last stint in new York.... IMO, I think kovy likes Montreal but he's not gonna give in and sign for something less then he can get elsewhere...He's playing the free agent role just like most Europeans do, Money is there main objective.... If Gainey offers Kovalev a contract somehwere in the range that he's asking for, He'll be a habs before the next season starts... :ghg:
  7. maybe this is the year Hossa breaks out?? It would make a perfect fit for the 2nd line.. :ghg:
  8. Forsberg, Jagr, Fedorov, Hasek.......
  9. What are you talkin about, Leafs offer? Did they offer him a contract? I dont think theres any worries about him going to the Leafs.....Gainey will soon have him under contract!.. :ghg:
  10. I agree, Gainey should sign Dowd....He played very well with the Habs in his short stint last season!... Begin-Dowd-Ward would be a great 4th line... Get the rest of the boys under contract now, and sign a couple big names (Kovalev, Murray) Kovalev-Koivu-Murray Zednik-Ribeiro-Ryder Bulis-Bonk-Sundstrom Begin-Dowd-Ward Wow, just imagine if Gainey could ice those lines!!
  11. Rivet=7 Doesn't have much speed, and not a lot of skill... But 9 times out of 10 he gets his job done, and he's always there to stick up for the team..... Ilya Kovalchuk??
  12. I dont think theres any worries about the first line.. Before the season starts I think Gainey will definitely have a first line winger for the Koivu Line.... The question is who will it be?? My first choice would be Kovalev!! As for the 2nd line, gainey needs to get a left winger badly... Its a shame for two great players like Ribeiro and Ryder to have to play with Dagenais.. :ghg:
  13. if Koivu left, there would definitely have to be a rotating C....I dont think theres a guy on the team capable of stepping in to be a true captain.. i think it would come down to Rivet and Souray..
  14. Sing Kovalev, Murray, Simon and Ricci..... Kovalev-Koivu-Murray Zednik-Ribeiro-Ryder Bulis-Ricci-Ward Simon-Begin-???
  15. How could you not want Matthew Barnaby?? Just imagine the energy him and begin would give the 21,000+ fans everynight if they were on the same Line... The Bell Centre would be Rockin!... I would definitely give Bob Gainey the thumbs up to try and sign this guy... :ghg::ghg:
  16. Link? Source? I'm worried about something like this. Langdon is really underrated, and given the ice time, he'll score goals at will, just like in the playoffs. Add up all the ice time from each player, divide by goals, and Langdon leads them all. Seriously though, he gives us an intimidation edge, something that we haven't had since the years of Brashaer. I dont have a link or source to confirm this but the word back here in Newfoundland has it that he wont likely return next season....Langdon always said throughout his career that before he got too old that he was goin to go back home and play for his hometown (Deer Lake) in the NL senior League for a few seasons, and with the possible strike its almost a guarantee that this is the year for him to call it quits.... If Langdon does decide to return to the NHL Im almost sure that it will be with the Habs!....hopefully he gives us at least one more year!... :ghg:
  17. I like Don Cherry.....He has some good points, and he's fun to watch!... But when the old bastard goes on and on and on and on about Tie Domi and the Leafs, he gets right under my skin...im glad he's leaving CBC, if he goes with someone else maybe he can get his good points across, be entertaining, but not have to brag about the Leafs the way CBC tells him too... Maybe he'll start up that show he use to have, I cant remember the name..... Anyone else remember??? Or am I just dreaming?? haha :ghg:
  18. Who I think will Win: Hart-St.Louis Vezina-Brodeur Norris-Niedermayer Calder-Raycroft Selke-Draper Adams-Tortorella Byng-Alfredsson Who I want to Win: Hart- Iginla Vezina-Luongo Norris- Niedermayer Calder- Ryder Selke- Draper Adams- Sutter Byng- Richards
  19. Hossa definitely has the size, now if he could just get his act together and become the promising forward we all expected he'd be when he exploded for those 5 goals in 4 games awhile back.....We'd have an awesome Second line!... :ghg:
  20. I Love the guy as well.....He's by far my favorite player!! And those who say he's not a good captain dont have a clue about Hockey!..... Saku Koivu is a warrior, with Great Skill and makes the players around him much better...What more can you ask for in a Captain?!?!? :ghg:
  21. I hate those Stupid Leaf fans........I mean what in the Hell do they have to bragg about?? They haven't accomplished a ######ing thing in the last 30+ years... If the day ever comes, and the Leafs win the Cup, im gonna dig a hole and bury myself..... :ghg:
  22. I agree, as a Montreal fan not winning the Cup is a failed Season. We're all waiting for the days that we go into every season as Cup favorites and go to at least the third round every year...With the Core of young players, and great management the team has, i dont think we'll have to wait much longer!... You guys all have to agree though, that this was a suprising season in many ways....Who ever thought that Ribeiro would lead the team in points?? Who thought Michael Ryder would even make the team, let alone become a Calder Trophy nominee and finish second in team scoring??? Who thought Sheldon Souray would emerge as an All Star Defenceman??? and Who Thought we would have a Superstar player like Kovalev to help us in the Playoffs??? If someone would have approached me and said either one of those things would happen before the season started, I would have laughed my ass off!!!.... Now that the Season is over its nice to look back and realize how stupid the Montreal Canadiens once again made those so called professional analyst look!!! :-^ We did make the Playoffs, and once again defied all odds by knocking off one of the easts top seeds, before running out of gas again in the 2nd round.... Hats off to the 2003-2004 Montreal Canadiens :ghg::ghg::ghg::ghg: [Edited on 2004/4/30 by Bonavistaman11]
  23. I know one thing, the way that kovalev played from game 3 against Boston untill the last game tonight, he should definitely be signed, and he would be well worth the 5 or 6 million a year......But Before Gainey goes and offers him a big contract he has to decide on whether he thinks Kovalev will be that Superstar player for a full season or will he be the disgruntled player that we saw in the first few games witht the team..... If the team did sign him and he decided to take it serious and play the way he can, this guy on a line with Saku could be the leagues most dynamic player!.. Top Line: LW-Zednik C-Koivu RW-Kovalev Second Line: LW-???? C-Ribeiro RW-Ryder Ryder and Ribeiro showed some great Chemistry together this season and deserve the chance to make things happen again next season...With the Addition of a good LW we could have 2 very good scoring Lines. Third Line: LW-Bulis C-???? RW-Ward If Jim Dowd doesn't resign Gainey will have to be on the hunt for a solid checking center.....Bulis and Ward should be the wingers on this line because both add speed, grit, and great defensive hockey which is perfect for the Checking Line... Fourth Line: LW-???? C-Begin RW-???? It looks like Darren Langdon will retire, so we'll need a new inforcer to fill in on one of the wings. As for the other wing, Gainey should be on look out for another hard nosed energy player like Begin!... I would also like to see some new young blood in the lineup next season like higgins and Perezhogin but at this point in time I dont think there's gonna be enough room.... Dagenais, Juneau, dackell, Sundstrom, Quintal, should all definitely be gone....I would like to keep Yanic Perreault around as he always seems to come in very valuable at times, but I dont see a reagular spot for him. As for the Blueline, The only guys that I want to stay are Komisarek, Markov and Souray.....Souray deserves another chance after a great first half of the season, but if he continues his struggles the way he did in the PLayoffs were better off without him.... As for the rest of the D, They're all decent players but there needs to be a dramatic upgrade if the team wants to win and go deep into the playoffs... :ghg::ghg:
  24. Its back to do or die hockey again for the Habs!.... This is not the Bruins were playing now though, if we dont come away with two wins at home were done... Hopefully the fans can energize the boys the way they did in game 3 vs the Bruins!! :ghg::ghg:
