  1. Bad trade IMO. People will praise it but then after a month criticise Arnason for his lack of effort and lazyness. And then wish we had some hardworking players with speed in the line-up. If Bubu is gonna go, Bob better charge double for him - for my sake!

Bubu? You want to explain that one?

  2. Just updated at 5:00 p.m on Spectors Hockey

    UPDATED MAILBAG (CANADIENS, OILERS).

Hat tip to "Monsieur Pinpin" for the following on the Canadiens: "I just read an article on RDS.ca which is signed PC (Canadian Press). Gainey confirms that he spent a good portion of his day with Pierre Gauthier, pro scouting director.

This leads to believe, along with the call up of Ivanans and the waiver pick of Downey that something is up. Not much for a rumour, but just another piece of information."

"Benjamin" adds: "I just want to inform you about something real strange going on in Montreal today...

Jan Bulis is a healthy scratch for tonight's game against Philly... It's kinda strange considering that Bulis has been one of our best players in the last 10-15 games. Ivanans will take his place in the line-up.

From what I've heard, Bulis might be traded along with a number 2 or 3 draft pick or another player for Tyler Arnason... It's a realistic trade and that's why I thought you'd like to know...

Anyway there is no reason to scratch a fast player like Bulis, who's giving 100% all the time, has been your best player lately... specially when you play against a big team like philly, where your speed can make the difference..."

  3. Let's see some effort tonight,

I like the new 2nd line and hope Plex has another great game.

Ivanans and Downey will start a line brawl and Ribeiro will have to fight and mess his pretty face up and teach him a lesson.

    Let's turn this around already.

    GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!

Ribs is probaly shitting his pants tonight...........If you really think about it Gainey is throwing him right into the middle of a rumble. I LOVE IT!!!!!

  4. I think people are getting a little too personal on here and are way out of line.

Are you serious? Lighten up!!!! Your real name isn't Jose .....is it?

Yes but I don't see him getting points. Howe was a complete player not just a goon( a la Ivanans). I was just saying it would be great to see some life from our team, if blood needs to be shed then so be it. As much as I like Turner Stevenson, I feel he may be a victim tonight!

    Brashear vs Ivanans

    Stevenson vs Downey

When all this is happening, what's Ribero going to do? Run to the dressing room? or jump in Sourays arms like Gilligan used to with the Skipper.

  5. Jose Theodore is realy O-dore right now. I don't know how many want's him out but the hoope just grows bigger for each weak effort in net.

As for him snorting cocaine... I don't know if I would go so far.

As for Montreal to trade I think it could happen anytime soon. The team needs a shake-up and a trade may be the last thing that the Habs hasn't done yet. I do not believe that Mike Ribeiro will be traded as his value is low and for the money he get's the Habs can as well keep him.

Richard Zednik on the other hand should have a high value. A strong second line winger at a nice price. Higgins, Plekanec, Bulis and Bonk are the "same kind" of players. Bonk is the one i'd throw away. I would even waive him. No one would claim him tough...

I don't think Bonk is going anywhere. It seems like Gainey really loves this guy....Since he's been coaching it seems like Bonk is on the ice the whole entire game........Showcase? I doubt it........Gainey loves Bonk!

Gainey loves Bonk! gainy loves Bonk!(i'm singing that like a kid would)

  6. I hope he fights Chara again, and Chara stumbles and falls, and Ivanans throws a few solid upercuts while he's down...maybe braking his jaw..... Now that would be Justice!

Be careful what you wish for..............I'm getting really pumped.....I think our boys are too.!!!!!!

It's like when you were a kid and your gang was on the "don't ###### with us " side....everyone steps up even the weaker ones..............I think this is just what the doctor ordered. Theo is going to benefit the most from this. He likes to feel TUFF................

Let the games begin.........................no pun intended........(one of the weaker ones)

I'm not saying Begin is weak I just think this will allow him to explode.

    Here's to Explosions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I'm sure he's eager to play against chara on thursday

Oh no shit....I forgot.....That is going to be a good one...........watch though with the habs luck....he'll be scratched because he'll lose a fight to Forsberg in Philli.

  8. It can't hurt.

Maybe he was recalled to scare Theo

Some toughness is a good thing because other than Souray and Rivet (who can fight but really aren't tough) we have nobody. I bet the Habs have the lightest team in the NHL.

Let's just hope he wins his next battle!

Aron Downey can fight....our newest pick up........we'll have 2 against the flyers.

  9. Jonathan Ferland send down. Ivanans called up.

    Source: Radio-canada, 24/1/2006

Looks like we are just going to start beating people up...Cool.......at leeast losing will be fun to watch....

All jokes aside probably a good thing considering Philli is next.......big and strong......or maby BG is calling Ivanans up to beat up Theo.

  10. Plex played great, but if we need to depend on him, what does that say about our "leaders"?

Koviu managed to be the only guy not to register a shot tonight and he looked horrible on that late goal. Kovalev is another guy who is suppose to be a leader and a game breaker. He has been anything but. Don't get me started on Zednik....

Bulis plays really hard, but he just can't seem to finish very often. It would not be so bad if we didn't have so much depth in the "doesn't score much' department. :(

Sigh, something big needs to happen on this team. I am not sure Gainey can really do anything (it takes two to tango), but perhaps benching Koivu and Theo for a game to send a message. Theo is obvious, but I think sending a message to Koivu is needed. Basically, he is the captain and he needs to lead now, not flounder.

I remmember when Koivu was hurt and everyone ripped Ribs for not stepping up. Well, Koivu is back and it is time for him to step up, or take the C off.

Who do you give the C to?

  11. Wow, thats all I got to say about some people on this site. The Habs win two games everyone loves Gainey, the Habs lose two game and everyone bashes him. Are these the same people that drove Roy out of town. Also I wonder if all the Theo bashers will jump back on the bandwagon if he gets hot.

No.....because if Theo gets hot it will last a month....maby

  12. Read that he likes to have long dramatic fights. Big long square-offs with the dramatic glove throws.....tells refs to not come in and stop the fight when they are about to, likes to fight Peter Worrel a lot.......don't think it sounds like Begin or Murray....but does sound like he'll be fun to watch.......

Good news...I think we need a guy like this.......

Hockey fights .com says he got smoked by Eric Cairns......when do we play Pittsburg again?

  13. GO HABS GO!!!!

I'm noticing a trend today..........no-one is making predictions.

We always predict a habs win.and we've been losing so..........do we all predict losses or nothing at all....

I say we predict a loss b/c last time we all were predicting a blow -out against the sens we won...

    I'll go first

    4-2 Caroina

That really hurt...a lot, but it's for the good of the team.

  14. If he gets traded now, we get nothing in return ... if we wait until closer to the trading deadline, we get good things in return.

I don't know if we should or shouldn't trade him, but I think this is the wrong time, and we won't get good value. Also, I think we are at the point where it is make or break. If we turn it around soon, the team could do well in the playoffs, but if they are just going to get eliminated in the first round, we should position ourselves better for next season, and get some good young players in return for Theo.

Or maybe everyone will kiss and make up over the pad incident, and Theo will return to very good (not great) goal tending.

    Crystal Ball is murky!!!

Please trade him by March 9th...............................He's done!!!!!!!!!!! There is no form to regain. Hope we get a good player in return........

Huet and Danis may not be the answer but they're numbers will be better than Theo's this year.

Huet could take us to the 1st round of play-offs........

  15. Vince Carter didn't want to play for the Raptors, Jose Theodore wants to play for the Canadiens. Carter was purposely slacking, Theodore just seems tired after 3 seasons of carrying this team. Vince Carter was frequently injured and had little desire to play through his injuries. The two don't compare.

The problem with you is you expect him to play like an MVP for an entire season, which is ridiculous, especially with the team he has in front of him. Souray, Rivet, Brisebois have been inconsistent for years. Your expectations are delusional.

He was good enough for the All-star team just last season. So he has had at least 2 great seasons, while playing on a horrible team.

No ............that is not my problem.........I just want to feel like we might win sometimes..............He makes me feel like we'll probably lose...............delusional?.......watch most of the goals he let's in ....enough said...i can't believe you accept this. Talk about delusional!
