  1. I would love to see another team in Winnipeg. Don't think that will ever happen. Thats too bad. Even now with the new labor agreement. I'm not from Winnipeg, but just remember the sadness when the Jets left!!!
  2. I pic staying with the status quo. Maybe try a small trade. I think we have to remember that Kovalev, Koivu and Bonk have been all out. I know, Bonk has not been living up too potential. I just don't tyhink a block buster trade or getting rid of the coaches is a good thing right now. I kind of like the coaches.
  3. I would pick any one of Kordic, Nilan and Ferguson. Not going to rank these terrors. Watching Kordic fight was like watching someone who was insane. Man, could he ever throw a punch!!!
  4. Excellent post!! It was a great Read!! Thanks!!
  5. He'll probably get claimed. A team would only have to pay about $275000 for him. Montreal would have to pay the rest of his salary. He would be a good pick up as a depth D. Not that he is ready for the NHL, but he is fairly young still. The rest of his salary would apply to Montreals cap. We could be in trouble if we can't find someone.
  6. Growing up in Newfoundland, You were either a Habs fan or a Leafs fan. Thank Gawd my father was a habs fan and passed it down to me. In the earlier years, a lot of Newfoundlanders liked Detroit. My Grandfather and older uncles were Detroit fans. As I look back, I see some great moments that I have watched that have made liking the Habs more memorable. Some of these high lites were... 1971 play-offs...no one was going to defeat the Bruins. 1975 New Years Eva Game against the Russians...3-3 1986 Stanley Cup...I can't believe Edmonton wasn't there...poor Steve Smith 1993 Stanley Cup...Down 1 game to 0 and losing in game 2 until Marty McSorley came along. Standing ovation for the Rocket at center Ice. It must have been a couple hours...seemed like it. I almost cried myself...ha! Koivu's return and many others.
  7. Didn't they only have 10 losses all season in 1974-1975 or 1975-76 season? 1974-75 was the second year that Philly won the cup. I wonder how Montreal did that year starting the season. I remember Ken Dryden saying once that if you include the preseason games and the play-offs, Montreal only lost 12 games in the 1976-77 season. Winning something like 79-80 games.
  8. Oh my God...I'm listening to the game on the computer. Theodore is standing on his head...at least it sounds like it!
  9. Who got the better of these two young talented players???
  10. Perrezhogin Koivu Kovalev Dags Ribeiro Ryder Bulis Bonk Sunny Pleks Begin Higgins Injured: Zednik
  11. Dagenais is getting way under a million bucks a year to play on the second line. Thats not bad for a second line guy. Remember he scored 17 goals in 50 while in and out of the lineup. Thats not bad. For the price we are paying him, thats not a bad return. Can he score 20-25 goals if given a full season? He probably won't get it because young blood will be battling with him for a spot.
  12. I think Clarke would want Montreal's #1 pick, plus Hainsey and Zednik.
  13. My pick would be #19...Larry Robinson and # 12...Yvon Cournoyer and...I think Elmer Lach??? There are others with strong cosideration...#5(Geoffrion), #22(Shutt), #33(Roy), #20(P Mahovolich), #23(none other then Bob himself)...and about a dozen others...ha!
  14. I am not a Leaf fan, but I think Sundin has to be there somewhere!! Go Habs Go!
