    also gone!

Y'all are good. If we all band together and say "Babcock", can we will it into existence?

Somehow I think that might be out of our powers but ....ah what the hell, let's give it a try. So I heard Babcock pissed in some bodies shoes and is going to be fired.

  2. Showed a lot of professionalism last night. Nothing to play for but they got together and played well. I don't know what Bealieu was doing on Florida's first goal but he seemed to play good after that. Ok let's get ready for the Rags, and kick the bee jesus out of them.:habslogo:

I agree. While we *should* be able to beat them, their speed could prove a serious problem for our D, and they will be in an absolute frenzy of youthful excitement because of their city's hysteria over the match-up. Also, we will have to listen to all the old geezer wheezing on about the 'great' Habs-Leafs rivalry and the Greatest Year in Hockey History, i.e., 1967, which was great, of course, because the right team won  F*CK THAT, sez I.

The wrong forking team won and I am still pissed off about it.

  4. Great game last night. Vassy is the only reason it wasn't a 5 or 6 to 1 game. I was worried the guys would relax and not give their full effort, but nope they gave it their all and Price was the master s normal. They need tp play with that intensity every game in the playoffs, then they may have a real shot at going deep.:habslogo:

I'm surprised to see so much hate for Beaulieu!!  True, the kid has made alot of mistakes, but there's no denying that he has an offensive upside.  Once again, I think too many people seem to forget that defensemen take longer to develop compared to forwards. Generally speaking, D-men start getting good when they're about 26-27 years old. Beaulieu is 24. I'm willing to bet that by the time he's 26(two seasons from now) Beaulieu will have improved his game alot. Will he still make mistakes? Absolutely! But I think there will be less mistakes and more games like he had last night. We just need to be patient with him!

I have no Hate for him at all, I just want him to give his best effort every nite. Show us some dedication to his craft.

In the offensive zone, the attacking defencemen shouldn't be involved in the cycle game too often.  Otherwise, it could be going the other way in a hurry.  Being good at the cycle game is something I've heard plenty of GM's refer to in the past as well.

Sorry I misunderstood what you were speaking of, it is a talent to be able to cycle the`puck. I would just like to see him do more than that. He is as slow as they come (crankshaft was a little slower) I really think he could use that size of his a lot better. He's got his team mates protecting him for crying out loud. I don't think he really wants to be here, and will find his way back to LA. To me he is a million dollar player at most. I think he is an RFA at the end of this season so maybe The Knights would like him.

See what Lindgren can do, at least in the back to back to end the year?

But, agree and hope Markov and others who need rest only play 2 or 3 of final 5.

Markov seems to have responded to the cut back in his minutes, and looks pretty good out there for an old goat. Let's give him as much rest as possible before the was begin.

Don't think the former was ever in question, but as to the latter bit, whether can he do it consistently and improve defensively are still the huge ?? And my guess is No, he wont put it all together.

But, obviously just my opinion and Mr. Stogey24 seems to strongly disagree, which is fine and he could be correct...these playoffs may be huge for him to show what he can do in crunch time and with new contract upcoming also.

That kid has real talent, I really hope he can get his head out of his a$$ and play like last night all the time. He has always been kind of a head case, right back to the Nate the great thingy. Maybe Barber Bill can get him under control, cross your fingers and your toes.

Watch him protect the puck on the boards in cycle situations.  That's an area he's pretty effective in - we've seen it a few times already tonight.  As things slow down in the playoffs and the cycle game becomes a bit more prevalent, I think Bergevin wanted someone who could help in that area while (in theory at least) being able to move up in a pinch.  The Kings had him in the top six at times when injuries struck although it's hard to see why based on what he's done so far.

Well if he could hit, screen the goalie  etc I would go with that But I think we are grasping at straws. I have never really heard of that being a big talent. I thought that was why we had defencemen.

Dwight King does not stand up for his teammates at all. Guy just watched Martinsen get crunched and did absolutely nothing about it. He's hear to add toughness, but his play is the furthest thing from it. Go back to L.A.

I have yet to figure out what his attraction was,  oh wait, it's Mark down Marky. The guy was cheap. Nuff said. Is he good at eating hot dogs cause that is where he belongs.

You should have caught the last couple of London games on Sportsnet.  He's undersized but he's still a very effective player at the junior ranks and his speed really makes him an intriguing prospect.

i don' know too many guys, his size that make it as a defenceman in today's NHL. Does anybody else? Forward Yes.
