  1. Today is the great day for the spanish soccer, this evening at 8 PM everybody in this country will go to the TV to watch Madrid-Barça. Al this momont Barcelona is playing much better, but Real Madrid plays at home, has the support of his fans and Ronaldo is back. I prefer Barça win, I hate Real Madrid. Expected teams: Real Madrid ----------------------IKER CASILLAS---------------------------- M.SALGADO---I.HELGUERA---S.RAMOS---ROBERTO CARLOS --------------------PABLO GARCIA--------------------------------- BECKHAM-------------ROBINHO----------ZIDANE/BAPTISTA --------------------RAUL-----RONALDO------------------ F.C.Barcelona: ------------------------VICTOR VALDÉS---------------------- OLEGUER-----PUYOL---MARQUEZ-----VAN BRONCKHORST ---------------XAVI--------------MOTTA/EDMILSON----- GIULY------------------DECO-----------RONALDINHO ---------------------------SAMUEL ETO'O----------------------
  2. Don't worry, you have Louis Garcia&co. in Alemania! I think you're not an Slovakia fan :D Congratulations to Czech Republic too Thanks! BTW, I can't imagine the World Championship without the Espana-guys. You have a lot of bad luck in the 3-4 last tournaments. Good luck in quarterfinal group next summer. PS. ... in 16 hours start the "El Clásico" at San Bernábeu! 3-3 draw would be nice (Carlos,Robinho,Solari - Ronaldinho2 and Etóo ) for example. ¿3-3?, no, no, 0-5 will be better, five goals score for Eto'o :/) Excuse me everybody, last soccer post in this thread http://www.habsworld.net/forum/viewthread....tid=3251&page=5 [Edited on 2005/11/19 by Denis Savard]

  4. Have a good night and enjoy the game, I wish to wake up tomorrow with a habs victory. Bye
  5. It's hard to lose in SO, but 1 point is more than 0 points. Go to bed, goodnight to everybody
  6. 17 :/) So, Denis, are you enjoying your retirement? Yeahhh, it's 3 AM here in Spain, I can't sleep, so I'm listening the hockey. A perfect night
  7. Does anybody know a band named The Dears? They were playing here in València 2 years ago, I was in that concert and I remenber they said that they were french canadiens, I don't know if they are from Montreal, I'm not sure
  8. Godspeed You! Black Emperor were playing here in València 2 or 3 years ago, they had an excelent live show. I like post-rock very much (Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky). I was in a concert of The Kills this summer in Spain, I only give them a 5 (0-10), it wasn't a great concert. The Arcade Fire, there were playing in Barcelona in spring and I was there, the public "connect" with their music easily, I give them a 7 (0-10). Bye
  9. Oh, I've just find this topic. I like pop & rock very much, so I'm going to read all the thread before giving my opinions. This year I was in some canadians bands concerts. I like The Arcade Fire and Broken Social Scene, they had good lives shows and good albums too. ¿Mando Diao?, I' saw them playing in a Festival in Spain this summer and I didn't like his live sound. I saw other swedish people like The International Noise Conspirancy and they were better.
  10. I've got the same problem of ARG_Habit®, I'm not so good writting in english, but let me tell my particular "habs Fan" story I'm from Spain. First of all, in Spain(42 million population) there is a little hockey league with 5 or 6 teams only, none of them in my city or in my region. 30 years ago, one of my uncles went to work to Switzerland, so my cousin was born in that country and was living there for more than 20 years. In Switzerland ice hockey is very popular, so he became a hockey fan too. When he came to Spain on holidays, he usually told me information about this sport. I really begin to understand hockey in 1993, with the video-game "NHL93" for SEGA Megadrive. I use to play with a friend, he always choose Rangers and I always play with Montreal. Montreal was the best team in that game and Denis Savard was the best player, that's the reason for my nick, and since 1993 I was a habs Fan. A few years later, I had some friends living in Montreal, working in International Civil Aviation Organization, so I was invited to visit Canada. I couldn't go to any game in The Forum(no tickets avaible), but I've been in the Canadiens Store, I bought some merchandising, including a jersey, of course. When I told the people of the store that I wanted the name of "Savard" and number "18" in the jersey, they were very surprised, "¿Is Savard famous in Spain?", they ask to me For a lot of years was very difficult to follow the Habs, there was no information about hockey in spanish newspapers, but with Internet everything has change. Now is easy to me to follow the league, I can watch the highlights in NHL.com and of course I can read habsworld.com and live the Montreal Canadiens like anyone living in Sherbrooke St. At this time there's no hockey in any Spanish TV, this year Canal Plus hasn't buy the rights of NHL, so I must wait to watch Habs games. I follow them for the radio I like Basketball a lot and I usually write in the forum of the Spanish Basketball League. In that Forum, there are 5 or 6 people who like hockey, so we've got a thread to talk about the NHL in that spanish off-topic forum. We are and island inside Spain, here we are, we follow the league everyday. We're a "microcosmos", with a Habs fan(me), a Bruins fan(my swiss cousin), a Leafs fan, a Avs fan, a Wings fan,...¡¡A rarety in Spain!! Well, that 's why I'm an "international habs fan". Adios, amigos

  14. I disagree, Lampard and Terry are better players than Beckham.
  15. ¿the first spanish user?, of course, maybe I'm the only habs fan here in Spain Well, it's a pleasure for me to be in habsworld, I'm learning a lot about hockey reading the canadiens fans. :/)
