  1. You know, as much as i like Ryder i would let him go for the right price/deal. Other gm's aren't stupid no one's gonna take Ribs and Bonk for marquee players. i think it's going to take giving up either Zed, Ryder or Souray to get a signifigant deal done. Like i said i really do like Ryder, but he is also horrible defensivly and not a great passer.
  2. Actually i believe it's 7.6 (i'll admit still grossly over paid) but the season's almost over and with theo out i think it's dueable. remember next year he is only 3.6 mil. Repulsive? i guess you find bertuzzi repulsive too. Bottom line is they are big , mean , can score in bunches and are exactly what the Habs need. Tkachuk has actually been on fire as of late. You may be right about brewer, however nobody is untouchable....ask Joe Thornton or Wayne Gretzky. How about Barret Jackman? promising young Dman
  3. Look before all you jump on me for bringing up more trade speculation, hear it out. It's ovbious changes must be made in habs Land. Everybody is screaming for a power forward and a top 2 defencemen. I honestly believe St. Louis could be the answer. The team is struggling and is quite apparent to begin a rebuilding phase. The targets...Keith Tkchuck and Eric Brewer. Now the question is what would St. Louis need in return to make this deal, and remember with theo being out it could probably work with the cap. I would trade anybody on our roster except Koivu, Kovalev and Markov. How does either Zed or Bulis + Komisarek or Souray+ a prospect and a first round or second round pick sound? Maybe NOT EXACTLY the deal i would do but something along those lines. Keep in mind that although Tkchuck is vastly overpaid this year, he has a club option for 3.6 next year. Thoughts and opinions? Would St. Louis go for something like this?
  4. for real bro..... he looks drunk.
  5. Anybody else think Ribs looked pretty horrible tonight? On the plus side he did seem a bit stonger fighting for the puck along the boards. Latendresse was o k , booted a couple scoring chances but played fairly physical. Dags , well he actually played with a bit more grit than i'm used to seeing from him. His skating is still horrid but man, what a lethal shot, he can score from just about anywhere inside the blue line.
  6. After the Leafs-Canadiens game, the commentators were saying that Streit was looking much more comfortable out there as compared to his first game. We'll see how that complicates matters. Ugh then he must have sucked SO badly in the first 2 games, cause let me tell you this guy made so many horrible passes it isn't even funny, one of them resulted in a goal for the Leafs. On the plus side he did show some offensive upside at times but still..... he sucks.
  7. Ughhhhhhhh horrible game. Habs played like crap, but then again look at the line up. Way too many penalties.
  8. I think we're going to be in tough tonight with this line up the Habs are iceing. This will be an excellent opportunity for the young guy's in the line up to show what they can do against the big gay leafs lol. Also Vandermeer, Ivanis and Aitken are going to be in the line up, i expect all of them to fight tonight. DAMN i wish i could see this game.
  9. Hmmmm i wonder if Ribiero is going to set up his good ol' buddy Dagenais and leave Latendresse out to hang? I'll be VERY dissapointed if Ribs does something like that tonight.
  10. Hmmm tough one, but i'll tihnk i'll go with...... Youppi. LOL, really though i think it'll be too hard to pick. So many rookies this year in the NHL, i think we'll just have to wait and see.
  11. Of all problems, the Habs are probably dealing with the best kind. The level of play of Montreal's prospects has been outstanding so far. Making the final cuts going to be a tough and critical decision. It's become a dogfight between, Hossa, Sundstrom, Perezhogen, Dags, Higgins, Plekanic, Vandermeer, Ivanas and Latendresse ( who i would love to see play this year, but it's highly unlikley at this point) up front. While Hainsey, Streit and Boullioun duke it out on defence. I find it hard to believe that Mtl would send down the likes of Hossa and Plekanic( MVP of AHL all-star game last year) back down to Hamilton. There quite simply isn't enough room and it seems wrong to send these guys back to the AHL to rot when they are NHL ready. The plethora of young prospects up front could be the answer to landing a #1/2 defencemen, which i believe is a must on this team. So back to the question, who do you think will go? if anybody.
  12. didn't Bonk have like 4 points? lol and that's not good enough for 3rd star?
  13. 1- Kovalev 2-Zednik 3-hossa or pleks(curious to see how either of them handels it.) Zhogie 4th again if needed. [Edited on 2005/9/21 by Lord Chronic]
