  1. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind you are right, lmfao!
  2. Yes, you missed one...Justin Beiber got taken into the boards from behind
  3. I thought a lot of players had their worst game of the year. Habs don't win when they chase the game all night...
  4. I'm thinking you're right! Coach Mike doesn't seem to like Redmond much, and I can't say I disagree.
  5. Here is how I feel about trading Sergachev to Colorado, Is MacKinnon and a pick coming back? No? Then no thanks... This team needs Sergachev in their not too distant future. It's a young man's league, and D prospects or draft picks like him, are rare to a team usually in the playoff picture.
  6. Hmmm, interesting placement for Chucky
  7. Ya, I agree Cuke really, would just like a minor roster tweak like Carr out, and someone bigger, tougher and maybe a little scrapping ability you know? Guess I just want McCarron to be there, or ready or better or something I don't believe this team is soft in general at all, quite aggressive, but not physical much, that's all.
  8. Most of this team's problems are they have one player up front with grit and a nasty streak, Shaw. Not saying the rest have zero grit, but they sure have zero nasty...
  9. They had plenty of chances early, but like BCHabnut said... right on the money.
  10. Lmfao! BC, you want the real skinny, you should listen...
  11. Good post Stogey, and I agree, Weber's strength is to stop the other team's possession of the puck more than making that great pass. His shot makes up for that
  12. Nice thread Cucumber Yes, Habs need a legit #3/4 D man, or a lot better bottom pairing than they have had all year at the very least. A couple of my fav things I've seen this year is of course Rad and Weber, Lehkonen is a good hockey player, and Danault sure has had a great 1st half. Both these young guys are sound both ways, so eliminates the panic for depth acquisitions imho. Crazy or not, I like Shaw, and Byron is the biggest playing smurf I've seen since Mats Naslund Also I have a new appreciation for Brian Flynn as a utility player, with that speed, and you have to admit he has good hands sometimes too. All in all I'm pleasantly surprised so far, and like this team a lot compared to recent versions.
  13. Yeah, I fear Beaulieu may never get over those "super bad decision" moments, whereas Emelin is a force physically, and has had a great year thus far. Still rooting for Beaulieu to end up a legit #4 though by years end
  14. I thought he had some good moments this time up, but like Brian I think said, he seemed to get worse as time went by, thus losing ice time. Agree, he will be back this year no doubt.
  15. I think the "Weber's outlet passes are awful" is bunk personally. I don't see the team trapped in it's zone nearly as much with Weber out there, some yeah, but what D pair doesn't run out of gas and get pinned from time to time? Markov and Subban had awful moments sometimes, among the great moments they had.
  16. Who would you want to keep between Beaulieu and Emelin Commandant?
  17. He absolutely does need the playing time, and he's not gonna get it with the big club.
  18. I don't know if Burrows would be an upgrade over DD, but he sure would be an upgrade over Farnham or Terry... he does have super aggravating powers, but a fourth line guy for that much money is crazy...don't see him as an upgrade over any of the borderline 3rd line guys we have either, maybe Carr, but not even Ghetto, who hasn't been bad the last few. For me Burrows = No
  19. I agree, and really don't see the point of trading him this year, Habs need him, producing points or not, he is still doing a great job out there. Trusted player, and long serving Hab, with a hard to trade big cap hit, no sense giving a player of his caliber away, to get someone who really might not be a better overall player. Opposing team's offensive stars aren't blowing the Habs out of the water, and a big reason for that, as always, is Pleks. Cup contenders need players that play defensive minutes as well as he does...
  20. I thought Pleks best game was last night vs Washington, he had a lot of chances and looked good all over the ice. I don't see a replacement in place now in what he brings defensively at C. If the Habs are to make a cup run, he may be more valuable to just keep for that. Season is only half over, and if he can play like last night, his season may turn around, and not look like 4 goals by the end...
  21. Agreed, seems that one should play hockey at his fastest possible pace... I guess the trick is, to get 5 guys doing at the same time...
