Speaking of comprehension, I cannot understand how some people think we are worse in our own end this year. I don't think the Habs been pinned in their end of the rink nearly as much this year, Weber is still a stud in his own end, but go ahead, carry on with the narrative that Weber will suck sooner than PK, sooner or later you may or may not end up right...

I believe the Habs are a very fast team, but I think it's the "pace", work ethic and fore check more than anything. Look at what the pace and forecheck did for the Jr. team yesterday vs Sweden, it can be overwhelming when Habs are on their game.

I was surprised at how bad they looked defensively at times last night, and announcers were saying how Josi has struggled without Weber. Subban's injury is enough to make them weak though, obviously, but their depth isn't what it is "labeled" as. Trading Jones still doesn't look that great to me, in light of Shea Weber gone too... PK can't fill all those shoes even healthy.

Yes! LoL, but what I can't understand is how with the overwhelmingly great defenseman making system the Preds have, why are they struggling and out of a playoff spot, and why is Yannick Weber in their lineup?

Price will be fine, he's broke his losing streak at 3... the next ten years comment was about hearing over and over again how great Subban will be over the next ten by the "chicken little Hab fans"... as he plays through his bad back.

Really, what we are talking about is McCarron a top 6, a bottom 6 or is he just a f'n terrible hockey player? I don't think e has looked too bad, he seems faster than he was last year, and he sure can use the body, and fight some, not a total loss as a prospect maybe?

As per title of the thread, this is right on... ^ Sergachev could very well be a star player, he has the tools and body for sure.

What exactly is a top 6 forward on the Habs? In my opinion Big Mike is already looking like soon he will be better than Carr, Andrighetto, Terry, and several other prospects including Scherbak so far... and I don't need him to be a dominant second liner personally. Just a big body with a solid 200' game, 3rd line C I can live with... if he can score enough for that. Right now, I don't see what harm there would be to leave him up, and see how he does with limited minutes, hopefully he surprises.

Not really, when you are out skated, outworked, and out goaltended, you usually lose quite often. The only reason the Caps should have won, is because they enjoyed so many PP's. Habs earned the win, Caps deserved to lose.

Emelin broke his face in a fight in the K, where you been Cerebus? He got knocked out by a huge goon, he would fight anybody before that...amazed at how many people that don't know what they're talking about saying he is a wuss... like Sportsnet color guys... He doesn't back down from fights either, he stands up for himself, but protects himself by grappling to "not fight" Emelin is an anti pussy really...

Anyone else like Redmond a lot better than Barberio? Paired with Beaulieu, I think I like Redmond better than Pateryn too, and I definitely like McCarron better than Ghetto, Ghetto can't score in the NHL either, so at least McCarron can fight and hit a bit, maybe even screen a goalie or win a face off. Ghetto sucks...

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with what Emelin did, I do however think what Iginla did is what's wrong here, that attitude where the bravado and code is inherently wrong, go after a guy after a clean hit. That's bullshit. Colborne is 6'5" and didn't do a thing, because he knew it was a good hit, a great hit actually. I laughed hard when Iggy steps up and Emelin smashed his little bubble by driving him to his ass on the ice too. If Emelin doesn't have steel plates in his head, and I bet he fights every game or two, he's a beast, he doesn't hit people dirty, just hard, and I'm glad we have him.

Rad is the most talented player the Habs have had in a long time, and what a character! Gotta re-sign him...

For me, DD is a good regular season producer, usually in good situations offensively, and pads his stats vs weaker teams over the run of a year. Not always, but mostly vs big teams or fast teams he's a liability, denying that is, well, just denial. Danault is 10x better vs everybody...

Emelin just might be the best hitting defenseman in the league, I think he's having a fine bounce back season, and is a part of this team that I don't want to see traded. This team is too soft up front, we need this type somewhere in the lineup, and he looks great playing with Weber.

For his size, Shaw sure is a beast physically, good fighter for his size, and not bad offensive awareness, and I'll go so far as to say 1000% improvement on Eller. Nothing wrong with effective crazy...

Emelin's hit was a great hip check, a dying art. Hockey games are 60 minutes long. Emelin shouldn't have to fight because he threw a great check. Gary Galley sucks...

Exactly where McCarron should play, 4th line... I like Hudon a lot more than Ghetto, but I like Ghetto better than Carr..., in some ways, I think it's just Carr is a bad skater more than anything else, but for 4th line minutes I like Carr over Ghetto.

Missed this season's games? I think the system has been pretty damn good this year, haven't seen anything other than the debacle in Columbus that makes me think Mtl doesn't play a sound game all way round.
