Fixed that for you, I think Drouin has been productive as well and doing fine, isnt he? Weber, Alzner, Byron, Shaw, Lehkonen, Hudon, Gallagher, and numerous others also have played well...Benn, Strait, Morrow, Galchenyuk, Price, Petry 50% of time not so much.
I agree to a certain extent; there have been plenty of positives, but Mete's performance has been the most surprising to me, while the others have merely met my expectations, I suppose.
And I haven't written off the season yet! Just commenting up to this point (crystal ball is still broken).

I'm not sure how Mete's development is being ruined when he's improving game after game?
I'm not saying things are perfect, but that's basically the one thing they're not buggering up this year.

Galchenyuk was understandably integrated slowly when he was just 18 and gradually built his game up until two years ago when he scored 30. Even if a bunch of those goals were scored towards the end of that season when the Habs were basically eliminated and therefore the intensity was at a lower level during those games, 30 goals is 30 goals.
Last year he was doing great until he got injured. Now let's face it, he has been horrible (with a few exceptions) ever since. It's not the coaches, it's not his line mates, it's him. He's mentally fragile since and is not showing a high enough level of intensity and desire for the coaches to have confidence in him. I'm disappointed, because the fans and the organisation had a lot of hope that he would solve our problem we have had at center for the past 25 years or so. He just doesn't have the hockey IQ to play center.
He either works his way out of his funk, which I now have doubts that he's able to, or we move on and trade him, which is what I would do if we could get decent value. If not, let's stop trying to find who's responsible for his poor quality of play, HE is responsible. Let him play wing and hope he gets some confidence back and leave him alone.
Excellent first post! Welcome to HW!

Another swing and miss...#27's stick was broke when point shot hit it. (about 3minutes left in 2nd, Trizzak made me look it up)
Ah, can't count on my memory or observational skills for much these days...

I know breaking your stick and trying to defend without one is pretty much a lost cause. But Galchenyuk just looked so clueless out there when broke his stick in own end, when he could of at least covered one player, blocked a shot, or gone to bench to get stick. I was just thinking at the time that he should try and just do something-anything instead of spinning in circles in open ice!
Or am I being overly critical of him?

1 hour ago, DON said:Sorry but was the 5% and was the russian kid with no stick...Rose was there on same shift, but had his stick.
So was I being too hard on lil Alex?
I'm pretty sure that DLR broke his stick and Chucky passed him his FWIW

Morrow is awful.
I've taken to calling him Morrowble. Nowhere near NHL calibre.

Well, I bought tickets for an individual game, and they still charge you $5 for your mobile ticket (vs $15 for a paper ticket). This is after a $24 service charge for waiting in a virtual waiting room for 2 hours.

I seem to be saying this a lot, but can we leave personal attacks out of these discussions? I know it's a long summer, but c'mon guys...

Guys, I know we can debate this without personal attacks/crude references.

Sad to see him gone, and I hope that his contract demands were unreasonable, because there's no other reason not to bring him back for a year (pending potential moves).
Farewell, General.

Great depth signing, but definitely no Markov replacement. I don't mind him getting some 3rd pair and 2nd PP time.
Is it safe to say that MB is done signing D, barring any trades for a C? I can't say I'm stoked about the backend!

I think he also picked up the more cost effective dman in methot vs Alzner
To be fair, Methot wanted nothing to do with Montreal.

75-76-75gms in 3 yrs before hip surgery last year, so who knows, but that is still a nice pessimistic outlook you got there.
Why thanks!
Honestly, I carry a grudge from 2009 when I had drafted him pretty high in all of my fantasy leagues... and he played all of 22 games. Can't shake the feeling that he's a bandaid boy, but sit corrected to see the decent GP the last 3 years.

But he signs Ales Hemsky as the 10th top 9 guy with Hudon in the minors.
I'm pretty sure Hemsky will be slotted in the LTIR...

No videogame is accepting this trade.
Don't forget we had to throw in Flynn to sweeten the pot!

He's definitely not a top-6 fwd anymore, but my Dallas friend says his two-way play is really underrated.
Y'know, when he's not on the IR healing his papier maché bones.

One year, one way, $1M.

Isn't that good news if EK is reporting it?

Well I figured I just wrote out a couple sentences with extraneous information, but the added context wasn't really all that important to the main point, so...
Tldr: Decided to summarize.
Hahaha and now we're down to one sentence!

Ben is traveling with the team, could return in the next couple of games.
Montoya is not traveling with the team, but could join the team during the road trip.
Tldr: both day-to-day
Thanks! I like that your assumption is that two sentences is too long for me to read!

You didn't have to give him a pat on the back, Commandant, but you didn't have to jump down his throat either. I form a lot of my opinions from sportscasters, hockey magazines etc... and although I acknowledge that doesn't make me an expert, I can still state my case.
I just don't want another thread to dissolve into personal attacks, so how about we all play nice, ok?
