Our best players were our best players tonight. Theo had a solid game and contrary to what some believe the third goal wasn't soft, it was a one time laser from the top of the circle, Theo was in good position at the top of the crease, he just got beaten by a great shot. The goal should never have happened as there should have been a penalty called on the Leafs for interference on Koivu. It was so nice to see us on the power play in OT rather than them. Ohhh, it feels so good to beat the Leafs.

As I sat and watched what transpired during the 1st period last night I thought should I go on HW tomorrow or avoid it because I basically know what is going to be said. Well to satisfy my curiosity I'm here and I was right, the Theo bashers are out in full force. Anyone who can blame him for what happened last night has absolutely no idea what they are talking about, that was the worst display of defensive hockey I've ever seen, when you give NHL calibre players time and space as the Canucks were given last night then bad things are going to happen to you. There could have been 2 goalies in there last night and the result would have been the same. If he had managed to somehow stop a couple of those we still lose, it wasn't his fault. For those of you who have said we should have kept Garon, he has allowed 24 goals in his last 4 games.

Anytime a player is cut during a fight and the other player is wearing a foreign object on any hard part it calls for an automatic match penalty, so the ref made the right call on that one. Here we go again, if you've ever paid attention to Crosby you would see he is anything but an average skater, he can go from 0 to full speed in about 2 strides. These are two different hockey players and lets not forget that Ovechkin is 2 years older and is in his third year of pro. Lets wait a couple of years and see how things look then. By the way I'm not taking anything from Ovechkin, he's a great talent. To say average and Crosbys name in the same sentence shows your lack of appreciation of talent .

It's more about his presence than him being on the ice eveytime Crosby is. Other teams will know that if you mess with Sid that Cairns will come a lookin, much like Dave Semenko and Marty McSorley did for Gretzky.
