  1. What happened this year?? We learned that Carey Price has been carrying the load big time. And the injuries,I think come from the fact that we have been bullied by other teams. Many loses have been very close. The edge has gone to the opposition. Adding a tougher guy now should help stabilize the team. The message must be sent out before Price returns that the Habs cannot be pushed around anymore. If that does not happen, the carnage is going to continue and Price will go down again.
  2. Yesterday!!! He should have been shown the door a long time ago. He has been at ice level and seen the players being bullied far to long. Finally, an tough guy has been brought in to send a message out to the other teams. Therrien should have been pushing for some toughness right after Price was knocked out of the New York series. We get one more real shot next year while Price is still in his prime. A new coach is needed to get the players in front of him moving big time. Price needs a team in front of him. He has been overworked so far and paid for it.
  3. Yes, he is the leader. He proved it the first two games back from the all-star break. His play was that of a leader right from the start you could feel his energy. The break was good for him and he needed to regroup and get back on track. I feel the team picked up on his energy and has taken his lead and gone on now to win 3. There is no question about his leadership qualities. He is a great player. Nobody on this team should have to carry the load 100%. He is only going to grow in the role. In the years to come, people will wonder why he was doubted ever at all. We are lucky to have a guy like Max as a captain........ever thought of looking at it that way???
  4. 100 % correct!! Carey Price is done for the season is right. Now that some goals are coming, the team has pulled off 3 wins. Goaltending was never the problem with the losing string. Condon made many great saves and held the team in the game many times when they were not scoring. Now is the time for the team to prove that they can stand on their own and not rely on Carey Price night after night to bail them out. See you in the fall of 2016 Carey!!! Do whatever you need to do to come back and win that Stanley Cup to go along side your Gold Medal!!!
  5. Good news about the win last night. Habs got to Bishop and he gave up 4 goals. He has been a hard nut to crack and now looks human. Have to give Ben Scrivens credit. He has come back big time after 4 loses to put the Canadien`s back into the hunt. The all-star break really has proven to be a good thing. The little breather must have given the team a much needed chance to regroup and find their centre again. Awsome!!
  6. What a ride it has been. I watched all his high-lights on YOUTUBE. He is a great player for sure. Something just didn`t seem right about him fitting into a Hab jersey. Only time will tell.......With the new skaters on the Habs......the power play will be better for sure. One step at a time.
  7. Silence is golden. Don`t say a word and things will remain the same in Boston!!!! Are they going to try and trade Chara here next???? Wouldn`t that be something to behold. Like.........I was actually cheering for Boston and did the happy dance when the came back and beat the Leafs 4-3!!!!! They could have keep that same team on the ice forever and a smile would be eternally embedded into my face.
  8. Totally amazing replies!!! Just put this up about 22 hours ago. I just have a real positive vibe about having Patrick Sharp skating for Montreal this year. Can`t put my finger on it......but all the great feedback really keeps the door open. The guy is a winner.....nice having that rubbing off in the dressing room throughout the season. He knows what it takes to finish the job. We need that extra "spice" to reach the ultimate goal.
  9. Putting it out there. As of today, I think he is still an UFA. Seems like a perfect fit to me. What does everyone think?
  10. Kessel fits in perfectly with Pittsburg. Be thankful he never ended up in Montreal. Bad fit for sure
  11. No Way. He had is chance in the Hab uniform. Why not go for Patrick Sharp and bring in a guy that has won the Stanley Cup??? Bringing Andrei is a bad idea and a bad move to make.
  12. Pleasant suprise!! Loves Montreal and is positive about the future. A moral booster, big time. No drawn out negotiation. Now for more action at the other end of the rink. More goals and a place in next years Stanley Cup final is no longer a dream but an ever closer reality. Bravo!!!
  13. Give him a tryout. He can score when he wants and the team needs more goals!!! It just might work. W
  14. Hate to say it.......but Boston would be a good opener.........Ottawa has been a pain for Montreal and could pull off an upset.
  15. Western Wake-Up Call. If there is to be a Stanley Cup parade in Montreal, the road must pass through south-western USA. first. Granted, there are a couple of new guys in the lineup......that should really be helping things get better. A better showing tonight in Arizona is a must. The LA game could have been a blow-out. but Dustin keept the Habs in the game. Time to really get in gear for the playoffs and work the new players into the lineup. Don`t forget, we got knocked out last year 1-0.....it wasn`t Tokarski`s fault at all.
  16. Great news. Tokarski earned the spot,no question about it. The potential to have the best goaltending duo in the NHL is now possible. Dustin Tokarski is only going to get better. It is so positive. Price gets the best back up around and also a little push to keep playing his best....or else...... The leadership will come as the season progresses. Will the Habs pull off one more quick trade??
  17. Wow. How soon people forget. Tokarski was amazing during the playoffs. He only let in one goal to lose that last game!! He will be a number one goalie if he is traded. Look what happened with the Toronto Argos. They traded backup Collarous to Hamilton and he has worked out okay.......he was player of the week once. That is not hockey, but he was great when the Argos starter was hurt for many weeks. If Tokarski had gone all the way to the finals and even helped win a cup, there would be no trade talk. He earned the job of backup last spring and did good this year in pre-season.
  18. After reading so many great posts, I think it would not be in the best intersts of the team to sign Brodeur. Why is he not the back up in NJ? That is the big question. Why is he not leaving as a life long Devil??? The Habs have a good, young team on the rise here. Dustin fits in perfectly. Looking back on Brodeur last season, I remember thinking that he was moving kind of slow and looking his age. Do we want the hockey version of Brett Faurve in Montreal? Someone pointed out the possibilty of a soap opera situation with Brodeur...........this young team does not need that at all. Go with the great players that are now signed and sealed.
  19. Could be good, having the experience of 3 cups or it could backfire. The Habs look really good right now going into the season. They need to trade Budai and bring up Dustin. If Marty comes to Montreal, make sure that Dustin is locked down until next year for sure. Then he can come up for sure to back up Price. Yea....why is he not retiring as a life long Devil??? That is kind of sad in a way.
  20. Great to see Francis Bouillion back for the year. That helps make up, somewhat for the loss of Josh Georges. The puzzle pieces are fitting together these days. Can`t wait for the season to start and then the team will fall into place.Still think that Tokarski should be the new back up man for Price.
  21. Who cares what Kovalev has to say. PK blows him out of the water big time. Is there a bit of jealousy here?? I agree for sure that PK shows up night after night.......Kovalev took nights off to float around the rink.
  22. PK earns every cent that he is paid. The guy gives his heart and soul to the Habs every night. Pay the man what he is worth and stop messing around here. Make sure that PK spends his entire NHL career in Montreal. Get the signing done....hassle free.
  23. Things are looking much better for another Leafless playoffs. The best news so far was that Gosh Georges refused to sign his career away and put on a Maple Leaf sweater. Also the other great news is that they seem to be stuck with Reimer. Please give him another chance in a few big games. Shanahan seems to be totally oblivious to the disaster that awaits him. What a sad way to end such a glorious career mired in the muddy-quicksand in the world of the ACC.
  24. Class move giving the 3 year deal. The message has been sent that this years deep run into the playoffs is no joke.
  25. Going to miss Gosh Georges on the blueline. He gave his heart and soul everynight. He saved his career by saying no to the Leafs. Gosh has to much class to ever put on a Leaf sweater. The organization sucks and has destroyed many good players. Shannahan is just the next sacrifical lamb being lead to slaughter. He will have a chance to continue to grow in Buffalo and not be destroyed playing at the ACC. Good Luck.
