I'd hang onto AG for at least 3 more years. That way we'll know exactly what he's worth, and can get somebody of full value in return. I'd hate to trade him now, for say joe blow that can get 24 goals, and then have AG explode for 8-9 years of 40+ goal seasons. I may be exaggerating somewhat, but you get the gist

Agreed 100%, Emelin or Gilbert's days are over in Mtl. And it depends on the trade partner's need. I believe that MB is willing to part with either..just a matter of time

If Semin is the answer, then I'm not willing to ask the question. No thanks..I'd give the kids a legitimate shot before wasting money or a roster spot on a slacker. Maybe Carr will be our guy, who knows?

I don't think DD is garbage..at all. I also don't think he has 1-2C value either. He's a 3LW in my book. And when you look at illWill's roster up above, I wouldn't change any of those third liners. So yeah, I would move DD..possibly for a 2nd or 3rd pk

I like the looks of that roster illwill..but, like you said if it were possible. I wouldn't move Scherbak or McCarron. We'd have to move Emelin as well as DD to make room for Staal's fat contract. We may be stuck with DD

Glad to see Tinordi sign..I hope he earns his minutes and takes full advantage. One thing I don't want to see is JT trying to play with a chip on his shoulder and end up getting into one too many fights. Kids got a long future ahead of him if he does it right.

I don't think any young guy will be an impact top 6 fw though. MT would never allow it. Soon as MB realizes that said youngster is no better than a 3rd liner(maybe by Dec 1?) , something huge will happen

Many questions remain regarding the teams offensive woes. Does MB stand pat and hope one of the young guys can play top 9 minutes? That probably won't equal additional goals. Does he get the new contracts (AG, JT) out of the way then work on a bigger deal via the trade market? Who stays? Who goes? If there's one move out there, I wouldn't mind seeing Joe Thornton come to town. Now there's a guy that could develop AG into that top line Center..because I hardly think Therrien is the answer. Anyhow, what do you think will be MB's next move? Does a move necessarily need to be made? Surely MVPrice would appreciate more goals?
