Gustav Lindstrom is back in the fold as the Habs have signed him to a one-year, two-way deal. They've also waived him to try to send him to Laval. https://www.habsworld.net/2024/10/habs-sign-and-waive-gustav-lindstrom/

Two years beyond this season ... BOLD PREDICTION ... he gets traded at the 2027 trade deadline to enhance the inevitable rebuild.

https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/canadiens-re-sign-d-xhekaj-on-two-year-2-6m-deal-1.2155756 Seems reasonable. He is a prototypical case of a guy to whom you give a bridge deal IMHO. Side note: I hate this habit of reporting the total value of a deal as its main feature, as opposed to its annual cap hit, which (along with term) is all that concerns us as fans.

As per the Mtl Canadiens website. 2025-2026 to 2030-2031, total of 33.3M$.

Signing Habs sign Alex Barre-Boulet, 1 year, 1 way deal.
Commandant posted a topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Long rumoured to come to Montreal, he finally does. Probably competes for a spot in camp. -
I'm surprised it took this long but Oliver Kapanen has signed his entry-level deal. Even so, it's Montreal or the SHL for him next season, Laval is not an option for him. https://www.habsworld.net/2024/06/habs-sign-oliver-kapanen/

A 6'4, 27-year-old goalie from Switzerland. I didn't see that being the goalie addition of the offseason... https://www.habsworld.net/2024/06/habs-sign-connor-hughes/

So Monahan's contract slot gets used.

The Habs gave Jan Mysak a three-year, entry-level deal today. It begins next year but probably will slide back a season. https://www.habsworld.net/2021/04/habs-sign-jan-mysak/

One year, two-way deal worth $775,000 in the NHL and has a total guarantee of $385,000. He was eligible to file for arbitration tomorrow. I'm on PHR coverage tonight so I'll link this write-up for now and will eventually get to one for here as well: https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2023/07/canadiens-re-sign-mitchell-stephens.html

https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/montreal-canadiens-sign-jesse-ylonen-to-one-year-two-way-contract-1.1990625 Two-way, which I find slightly interesting. Terms not released.

Thought this deserved its own thread because IMO it comes in with a lower cap hit than some expected This seems like really good value to me, as Newhook already seems to offer 3 million dollar value as a mid 30 point, middle 6 speedster, who can hold his own defensively. certainly has potential to be a steal of a contract if Newhook becomes a 50 point guy in the top 6. How does this affect your perception of Newhook as a Hab?

2-year deal with a cap hit of $1.1 million. https://www.habsworld.net/2023/07/habs-re-sign-rafael-harvey-pinard/

These are guys that will be heading to Laval.
