One-year, two-way deals for each. https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2022/07/canadiens-re-sign-three-players.html (I'm on PHR coverage this morning so it may take a bit for the HW write-up.)

While I'm still a bit puzzled as to why he was even qualified in the first place, the Habs re-signed Michael Pezzetta to a one-year, two-way deal today. http://www.habsworld.net/2021/08/habs-re-sign-michael-pezzetta/

https://www.tsn.ca/montreal-canadiens-chris-wideman-extension-1.1809188 Cheap depth, presumably. SN has him at $750/775: https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/canadiens-sign-chris-wideman-to-two-year-contract-extension/ I like offensive defencemen and have no beef in particular against Wideman, but given that he is closely associated with last season’s debacle - the sort of guy you would move along from, if your goal is to turn the page on a horrendous season - this does make me wonder if management is thinking ‘status quo’ for next year. Which would make Tank Nation quite happy, I suspect.

http://www.habsworld.net/2022/04/habs-sign-emil-heineman/ 3-year ELC that begins next season and he'll head to Laval to finish off the season.

3-year ELC; the contract won't slide even though he has been sent back to junior. http://www.habsworld.net/2021/10/habs-sign-arber-xhekaj/

Poehling is officially in the training camp mix to battle for a spot

Lehkonen has re-signed - one-year, $2.3M. It's slightly below last year's cap hit but still above his qualifying offer. http://www.habsworld.net/2021/07/habs-re-sign-artturi-lehkonen/

1 year, two-way deal. http://www.habsworld.net/2021/07/habs-sign-jean-sebastien-dea/

Laval's enforcer will be back for next season as Brandon Baddock got a one-year, two-way deal from the Habs. I'm okay with him returning but I was hoping they could convince him to take an AHL contract as there would have to be a ton of injuries for him to get a shot at being recalled. https://www.habsworld.net/2021/06/habs-re-sign-brandon-baddock/

1 year, 2 way contract, $750 000 Just putting this here for posterity purposes since depth signings appear to be taking an aggressive backseat to playoff hockey discussion for some reason 🙄
-
Lukas Vejdemo was set to be a Group VI UFA but instead has re-signed with the Habs. One-year for the minimum in the NHL. https://www.habsworld.net/2021/06/habs-re-sign-lukas-vejdemo-2/

A well earned contract for Lavalagher.

https://www.tsn.ca/montreal-canadiens-sign-defenceman-kaiden-guhle-to-three-year-entry-level-contract-1.1541282 With Guhle signed, I expect they will invite him to camp unless he is prepping for/involved in the WJHC ... NORMALLY, teams cannot send CHL players to the AHL ... but ***IF*** the WHL plans to start in January fall through and there is nowhere for him to play CHL hockey it would seem to be logical to implement an exception for the 2020/21 season (I'm still calling it that as saying 2021 season technically overlaps with what will hopefully be a more normal 21/22 season).

Just in Gallagher signed 6.5mil over 6 years. What's everyone's thoughts. Think this means Byron will be moved for cap space and Tatar won't be back.
