Alexander Barkov has not had a great start to the season, nor have the Florida Panthers. I think if Huberdeau was playing Barkov would be producing consistently. I am hesitant in dropping him as he tends to heat up in the second half of the season. But currently he is doing nothing for my team. Should I keep Barkov or try to trade him or just drop him?

The Habs have dealt Tim Bozon to Florida for minor league defenceman Jonathan Racine. Racine was on waivers last weekend and went unclaimed. http://www.habsworld.net/2016/10/habs-trade-tim-bozon-to-panthers/

Shaw for picks 39/45, Eller for 2nd's in 2017/18.
-
For Stefan Matteau. He was on my short-list for my targets article but I didn't put him there since NJ was selling. http://www.habsworld.net/2016/02/habs-trade-smith-pelly-to-new-jersey/

Philip Danault and a 2018 2nd coming back Montreal's way. Montreal retains 30% of Weise's salary in the trade. http://www.habsworld.net/2016/02/habs-trade-weise-and-fleischmann-to-chicago/

Friedman and Dreger are both reporting something's up with the Habs and Arizona, believed to be Tinordi involved.
-
Well no surprise and seems a good deal, 40pt guy for 2 straight AHL years and 23yr old Swede.

The worst kept secret in hockey is official. Oilers retain 24% of Scrivens salary, making his cap hit almost identical to Kassian when Tokarski comes off the Cap. A decent swap for both teams. Kassian cleared waivers before Xmas, so he can get his game together in minors without facing waivers. He's also RFA, so they have him at the same salary for another year, not sure if he's arbitration eligible. Tokarski has been sent down to St John's.

Per TSN. Not sure for what/who.
-
The first trade of the day as they acquire Petry. Not sure what its for. All they say is draft picks. *update* second and conditional fifth. The conditions are that it turns to a fourth if we win a playoff round and a third if we win two
-
TSN 690 reporting the trade. Smith-Pelly is more physical but a lower offensive ceiling, but who knows how much of that potential Sekac ever fufills. Personally not loving the trade but not hating it either. Time will tell.
-
Another 5th round pick.
-
Theres the third one. Habs add more to the depth. Prospect and a pick going back. Mitchell is only 5'11" so doesn't add size to the lineup. *update* Jack Nevins and a 7th round pick in 2016
-
Bryan Allen is in his final year of his contract with 3.5 million dollar cap hit. Shoots left, age 34, 6'5".
-
Traded Moen for Gonchar!

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/hockey/canadiens-acquire-tangradi-from-jets-for-budaj-holland/article20937437/ No pick? Not sure what I think of this?
-
Gorges to BUF for a 2016 2nd rounder.
-
Somehow the Habs also get a 5th round pick in the deal.
-
Louis Leblanc traded to Anaheim for a conditional 2015 5th round pick... Huh...
-
Per SNET, not official yet.
-
The Habs have added to their blueline, acquiring Mike Weaver from Florida for a 5th rounder in 2015. He's a small d-man but plays a sound defensive game.
-
Apparently Price is going to miss some time, the Habs have picked up Devan Dubnyk from Nashville for future considerations. Though he's making $3.5 M, his cap hit will be less with Montreal. Edmonton ate half his salary when they dealt him and Nashville is eating some here.

Habs and Kings make a minor AHL deal: Steve Quailer is out, Robert Czarnik is in. Czarnik: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=17501 Quailer: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=15531
