Gustav Lindstrom is back in the fold as the Habs have signed him to a one-year, two-way deal. They've also waived him to try to send him to Laval. https://www.habsworld.net/2024/10/habs-sign-and-waive-gustav-lindstrom/

The Habs added RD Johnny Kovacevic on waivers today. Some AHL numbers: And my quick write-up: http://www.habsworld.net/2022/10/habs-claim-johnny-kovacevic-off-waivers/

Waivers Gignac on waivers, White claimed
The Chicoutimi Cucumber posted a topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Canadiens claim Colin White from Pittsburgh; place Brandon Gignac on waivers | Montréal Canadiens (nhl.com) Seems like a bit of an odd minor move to me, but what do I know. I guess they feel the need for a little more veteran FW experience in the organization. -
Montreal makes a waiver claim with Dach and Armia and Wideman all out of the lineup.

The Habs have added some defensive depth with the claiming of Kale Clague off waivers from LA. He's 23, has five points in 11 games this season, and is making just over the minimum. https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2021/12/canadiens-claim-kale-clague-off-waivers-from-kings.html http://www.habsworld.net/2021/12/habs-claim-kale-clague-off-waivers/

The Habs have added some goalie depth with the claiming of Samuel Montembeault off waivers from Florida. http://www.habsworld.net/2021/10/habs-claim-samuel-montembeault-from-florida/ He was on my radar to be claimed later in camp if Price wasn't ready to go (him being waived yesterday put an end to that though) so I'm not entirely surprised with the claim though it makes me a bit worried about Price.

The scene starts in a pitch black, featureless room. Suddenly a sliver of light pierces the darkness as a door creaks open. Dust dances about as a voice brings fresh air into the room for the first time in months... Bergevin: "Folin? ... Folin, are you there?" Folin: "...m-master? is the bad man here?" Bergevin: "It's okay. He's... busy... for now. It's time for you to go." Folin stumbles to his feet. Hope left his mind long ago. He doesn't stride to the door with thoughts of a new tomorrow, he now only does what he's told. The husk of a man leaves his prison, guided gently by his master before the jailer returns with another... Julien: "Here's your new place." Kulak: "Thanks, Coach." ~fin~

Waivers Kenny Agostino claimed off waivers by New Jersey
dlbalr posted a topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
While the Habs are off until Thursday, they've placed Kenny Agostino on waivers. Presumably, this is to make a roster spot for Weise in the interim at least. And to no one's surprise, Alzner cleared. http://www.habsworld.net/2019/02/habs-place-kenny-agostino-on-waivers/ -
A bit strange in that i figured theyd just send alzner down again. That said, schlemko is shit too... so not losing any sleep if he gets claimed

After being unable to find a taker in a trade, the Habs have placed Nikita Scherbak on waivers. I'm on PHR coverage right now so it may take a bit for a HW write-up but here's my quick write-up from PHR: https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2018/12/canadiens-place-nikita-scherbak-on-waivers.html

The Habs have placed Xavier Ouellet on waivers. Presumably, this is being done to open up a roster spot for Noah Juulsen to be activated off IR in advance of Sunday's game against Chicago.

It turns out Karl Alzner will be the roster casualty for Shea Weber's return after all. He'll be on waivers at noon. http://www.habsworld.net/2018/11/habs-waive-karl-alzner/

I didn't see this coming - Tomas Plekanec is on unconditional waivers for the purpose of his release. http://www.habsworld.net/2018/11/habs-to-release-tomas-plekanec/

This saga just keeps getting weirder. Jeremiah Addison was listed as a healthy scratch to start the season and then was listed as injured. Yesterday, the Habs sent him to the ECHL and today, he's on waivers. (I'm guessing he refused to report.) Assuming he clears, he'll be released tomorrow. http://www.habsworld.net/2018/11/habs-to-release-jeremiah-addison/

It turns out the roster casualty to bring Jacob de la Rose off IR is de la Rose himself as the Habs have officially placed him on waivers. http://www.habsworld.net/2018/10/habs-place-jacob-de-la-rose-on-waivers/
-
For some reason.
-
With Weber skating (maybe he plays tonight?), the Habs would need to open up a roster spot to activate him off IR. They can designate Davidson as waivers non-roster to do that without having to send Carr back to Laval. http://www.habsworld.net/2017/12/habs-waive-brandon-davidson/

As per RDS, TSN and TVA Sports. http://www.tsn.ca/habs-claim-g-niemi-off-waivers-1.915142

No shocker here after he left the team to ponder his future earlier this week.
-
Oh well. He should never have been signed in the first place. This is also further proof that Mete will last more than 9 games.
-
Redmond placed on waivers. It was pretty much only a matter of time since the Nesterov trade

Alexander Barkov has not had a great start to the season, nor have the Florida Panthers. I think if Huberdeau was playing Barkov would be producing consistently. I am hesitant in dropping him as he tends to heat up in the second half of the season. But currently he is doing nothing for my team. Should I keep Barkov or try to trade him or just drop him?
