shortcat1
I cant recall his reasons for only playing 8 seasons....anyone know offhand? all i could find was that he retired before he would pass his prime... i remember also reading about his retirement at the time in the newspapers and, if my memory serves me correctly, he also retired because he had had enough of the pressure to always be the very best at every game and every season... that was part of the era when the canadiens players won the cup or else they let down the whole 'canadiens' community... (ridiculous expectations) GO :hlogo: GO! Edited January 30, 2007 by shortcat1
Mr. Nasty
8:45 already...............Start the game It's going to be past my bedtime soon..... I hear ya. It will 1230 before it ends here
RobRock
I can remember a story back when I was a kid that when he retired, he gave away all his equipment, including his mask. "We stand on guard for rights and liberty" That's a line I never recall hearing in the anthem. That must be an early 70s clip of M. Doucet. RobRock
Did Ryder add to the problem by tipping that shot from the point?

brobin
Did Ryder add to the problem by tipping that shot from the point? Not sure, but it wasn't Abbey's fault. Fluky goal. At least it looks like the habs are shooting too, perhaps they will get a lucky bounce to even it up.

RobRock
Much better energy, and nice to see some turnovers go our way for a change. Habs going on the power play Koivu missed the rebound chance

JMMR
Murray looked good in his first 2 shifts drew a penalty I am impressed. Also I like how the defense are jumping into the play.

shortcat1
the rds announcers pretty well had it right... this period was a very good picture of what's going on with the two teams at the moment. ottawa plays an ordinary period and gets to capitalize on one montreal error montreal takes it to the senators for much of the period but can't buy a goal to save their souls... GO :hlogo: GO!
