Lats will get there, I have very little doubt. On the whole, though, the stalling in the development of blue-chip prospects such as Perezhogin and Kostityn, to say nothing of Ryder's and perhaps Komisarek's and Higgins' regressions, is the thing that worries me most this season. I can handle losing IF these players show improvement. They're not. And these guys absolutely HAVE to become serious players or we're looking at another decade of futility. (That's why I keep obsessing over Carbo's fixation on Mark Streit. Of all the players we should be nurturing for the future of this franchise, Streit is fookin' LAST. Better to lose with Pzhogs than win with Streit - which we ain't doing anyhow). Higgins doenst have start potential. The guy has what? 8 assits in 40 games?
