Quebecois
Man i really want this game. We have to beat them if we want to have any sort of confidence if we do in fact play them in the playoffs. We have played well of late, time for Kovalev to dominate. :ghg:

sabumnimhabs
Come on guys!!! The rivalry between Toronto and MOntreal is all what the fans make it to be - pure hatred for one another and their team-. Look the players lost that rivalry between each other years ago. How the hell can you you get excited when you know the players have no spirit in them for a rivalry as such? Don't kid yourselves guys, there were and are bigger rivalries today. MOntreal-Quebec was the biggest, not the Toronto-MOntreal, the Boston-MOntreal always felt like the bigger one to me, even though I hate Toronto and their fans, but then again most habs fans suck too, but I still love the habs. Watch out guys, KOvalev is not our saviour, just watch, but don't get too upset when you realize that he will do nothing for us this year that our other boys couldn't. You did the same thing for Komi and now most of you want to see him out before playoffs!!!!!! By out I mean not in the playoffs. Kovalev will do only OK for us next season, if there is one, and if he doesn't sign with Toronto!!!! Which I have a feeling he will. Argue if you want, but its not worth my time. This game will have to go against MOntreal. PLayers don't act like it is a rivalry, so its all based on the situation each team is in and skill. Well, MOntreal is not in a do or die situation and they are tired. Toronto, admit it, has more skill, and more price than MOntreal. Wow, Toronto with the edge here. Don't cry too hard guys, we have no luck with Toronto, and if MOntreal comes out slow again like they have done pretty much every game except a choice few, we're toast. I am still going to cheer all I can for them, but I am not holding my breath!! :ghg:

danyjay
i've just read something funny about the leafs .. the guy at the end say: "The hearts of Leafs fans are like a steam furnace in which the pressure of hope and desire and expectation has been building for 35 years, only occasionally relieved in small bursts. A victory would throw the valve wide open and empty the tank. Still, though my relationship with the team might fade, though the rest of my life might pale in comparison, I'd take it. I need, just once, to experience that moment, lived so often in my imagination, in which the trumpets sound and The! Toronto! Maple! Leafs! Have! Won! It'll never happen, of course. The Leafs never win, and I love them for it. And the strength of my hope and the quality of my faith will only grow." - i hope i'll never heard that from a habs fan .. lol 24 stanley cup? priceless... for everything else u got master card... heh maple leafs ?? puck7x
LMAO! Anyone see George Gillett on CBC before game? He was in Bell centre concourses just walking around greeting fans, and he said to the camera while faking to cry "Seeing all these leafs jerseys makes me cry" ... Then he stopped and talked to a couple of leafs fans and shaked their hand... I love our owner, he's so friendly and involved.

puck7x
1-0 Habs on a sweet Ribeiro goal. Ribeiro and Kovalev had a 2 on 1 (After Leetch made a bad pinch) ... Ribeiro kept the puck, did a little toe-drag type move to get around McCabe, and towards the left of the net... outwaited Belfour, then slipped a precise shot by him... TheAussiePosse
Sounds like our only problem is that we're sloppy in our own zone. Can't wait till Souray comes back, we'll be unstoppable :eyes:
