Pierre the Great
A-rod hits 500. The true baseball home run champion. Not Balco Barry. Edited August 5, 2007 by Pierre the Great
jetsniper
A-Fraud is just as big of an asshole. And he punches like a girl. Nice slap Nancy, but Bronson is here to play baseball not slap fight.
Pierre the Great
well of course you're a red sox fan. I'm not talking about attitude
jetsniper
Wasn't he part of some drug investigation too? I say he's juiced.
Pierre the Great
nope a-rod has never been in any drug investigation. Although Pujol's trainer was indicated in the Grimsley case last year and look at Pujols now. lol
jetsniper
I could've sworn I read in that Stephen King/Stewart O'Nan book that A-Rod was part of an investigation. Oh well, I naturally think all Yankees are juiced and should be banned from the sport. On a more serious note, I'm having issues with their schedule as of late. All I've seen them play is crap like Kansas City, Tampa Bay, White Sox. What the hell is that? Give them someone somewhat difficult, the strength of schedule there is embarassing. Plus now that it's August, I'm getting worried as a Sox fan.

For the yankees august will include series vs. Cleveland, LAA, Red Sox, and 2 series v. Detroit. In order for the Yankees to catch the sox, they will need to have about a .150 higher winning percentage for the remainder of the season. Thanks for that simonus, I've been meaning to check their upcoming schedule. July was getting ridiculous but it's good to see August evens it out. Switch LAA and Cleveland and I agree with PTG. simonus
Boston's schedule for August is not so bad: 1 more game with Seattle LAA Baltimore Tampa LAA Tampa White Sox Yankees Baltimore
jetsniper
Not at all actually. A couple series with the Angels but thats all that really worries me, I don't see how the Yankees have a better August then we do.

Fanpuck33
yeah Balco Barry now HR king. Um, he's only tied, he's not king yet. There's still hope, however slight it might be that he has a career ending injury.

I can just picture some crazy Hank Aaron fan running onto the field with a bat and taking out both his knees. Actually, it'd be even better if it was Hank Aaron. He can turn to the camera after, wink and say "Those were the two most important hits of my career" It would be epic.

simonus
I know the symbolism of bonds hitting 755 bothers a lot of people, but not really that big a deal. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=6454
