bombTHEice
Is this right was I just read on RDS? Dykhuis is playing because Quintal is out for the 2 games vs. the Devils? Ah my that would be crazy ... hopefully they will give Komisarek another chance instead of Dykhuis. :nono:

puck7x
Great start... 1-0 Habs, badly outshooting and outplaying the devils, but its very early still. :ghg:
Habinator33
That shouldn't count it's above the crossbar. Don't count the damn goal REFS.

Natural Mystic
great game so far... good job rolling 4 lines!:/) come out strong for the 2nd :ghg:
TheAussiePosse
1-1 now, NJ comes out hard and early. We killed off a Ribeiro penalty. Looks like NJ is playing more physical hockey, but the play's going both ways. Also, Garon's playing decently, but I can't wait for Theo tomorrow - that'll be a match and a half
puck7x
Game ends in 1-1 Tie... Niedermayer had like 2 breakaways in OT and hit the post on each... hahaha... No win #400 for Brodeur

Prime Minister Koivu
I was only able to watch the last 10 mins of the third and ot. Garon was amazing - again. Habs looked good, but didn't see much of Koivu's line in what I watched. Lots of our third line though. anyway good game from what I was able to see and magnificent game for Garon! Quebecois
Pretty entertaining game considering it was against the usually boring Devils. I was sure that the Devils were gonna score on those two chances at the end of OT, i dunno how they stayed out. I'm not a huge Dags fan right now, that line seemed to be all Kovalev and Ribs and Dags just didn't seem to be pulling his wait IMO. Nice to see Souray back in the lineup Let's pick up 2 points tomorrow :ghg:
Bonavistaman11
Garbage lines!... Ryder deserves to play with a playmaker of Ribeiro's calibre.....It's sad to see Dags in his spot... :ghg:

Perreault-Koivu-Zednik is still very strong, as we saw tonight. The top defensive team in the NHL couldn't hold them off the score-sheet, so that has to say something. Dagenais-Ribeiro-Kovalev I agree, not the best line. Dagenais was good before teams realised that all they had to do was play the body, and he'd run away like a little girl. Or like Tie Domi. I'd rather Ryder on that line, but with Langdon out, Dagenais had to play. Also, think about it - would you rather Dagenais on an offensive line where he ruins our scoring chances, or on a defensive line where he can give the other team scoring chances. Hopefully Langdon is back soon, and Ryder can move back up, with Ward moving up too, and Darren or Dackell sitting on the 4th line. Bulis-Dowd-Ryder is, IMHO, an awesome line. Dowd and Bulis are both strong defensively, but people underrate Dowd's offensive capabilities. Remember, Dowd was once 1st overall in points in Minnesota. Minnesota. I reckon, the next time we roll 4 lines, we keep this line. Sundstrom-Begin-Ward worked well for us tonight, shutting down their opponents. I have no qualms, except that when Langdon/Dackell come back, move Ward up to 3rd line RW, and Ryder up to 2nd line LW. CJ has my vote for Adams :/)
sabumnimhabs
Well, it wasn't a bad game tonight. Entertaining to say the least. I just have one concern now, and I am sure most of you can agree with me. As I have been watching the past few games with Kovalev, it hit me that the Rags do have a system. CJ wasn't trying to give the Rags more credit than they deserve. The load of play is on the individual players and their ability to produce single-handedly. Yes, I know you all know this, nothing new, so what am I trying to get at here? There were quite a few good chances tonight against the devils. When KOvalev touched the puck, he lit it up, his movements and his puck handling ability. I mean wow. Okay so what is my concern? Its that during those good chances, Kovalev didn't take the chances!!! He's still trying to score indivdually. There was the one where Ribeiro came streaming from the point wide open, uncovered, three guys were attempting to get the puck from Kovalev and he shot and it went wide. Point in motion is that as Ribs was streaming from the point wide open, a beautiful set up was there. He is still in the Ranger's mindset, but is not real lazy anymore though. One step at a time. I know. But this type of incident happened quite frequently and it had me yelling and screaming and cursing how he could do that. When he adapts to our system he will make the red light go on and on and on and... well I think you get the point. I am just worried that this system might take too long to get rid of from Kovy - like next season- or that it spreads to his line mates - Ribs-. B/c we all know how close those two have become. This may sound weird, but I think we need Kovy to give the puck to a team mate and set up. Have him rushing the net rather than Ribs. I think more things will happen, but not until he passes!!! I am just saying that it bugs me to see an open Dags, or an open Ribs, or ... and they aren't being used. Kovy brings some great aspects to this team, but I think he needs to take something from this team first in order to be effective. I just hope he adapts either before playoff time or before the end of our exit from the playoffs, regardless of how early (1st round ) or late ( cup) we leave. B/c what happens next season might not be very pretty. I still think he's awesome and I am still excited about it all!!!!! :ghg: :-^
TheAussiePosse
BTW, here's the game analysis for those who haven't yet seen it (Concerned Fan's analysis). http://www.habsworld.net/show_big_news.php?id=486 I'm just pointing it out, you know, because it has a, erm, dead kangaroo as a picture. A tad disheartening to say the least. *takes off hat* "As you walk through the shadow in the valley of death..."

Bonavistaman11
I disagree with myself as well... The lines weren't garbage, infact they are four solid lines something the habs haven't had in years.. I was just angry about Ryder and Ribs being seperated, they were flying and i think both of em played there best hockey of the season while on the same line.. Dagenais doesnt deserve to be on that line at all..he's a bum. :ghg:
