jetsniper
Just found this while I was browsing the Avs board. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2999292 Way to go, Stars.
sbhatt
That's a great ad campaign. Other NHL teams should adopt the strategy where applicable.
mathieu30
Is the N in NFL for Nancy? The Dallas Stars COLD. HARD. HOCKEY.
InsaneHABSfan
I thought NFL stood for National Felony League with a 25% membership.
Mr. Nasty
Those ads are hilarious. Who said fighting shouldn't be part of the game! They are advertising the fighting because that is what people want to see.
Mr. Nasty
FYI, Here are all the ads. I couldn't find them on ESPN. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=9209
jetsniper
Haha, I like the one against UFC. What a friendly little sport.
Doktor Kosmos
Considering the average level of competence of NHL refs, I'd re-think that PR campaign if I was the Stars.
jetsniper
Considering the average level of competence of NHL refs, I'd re-think that PR campaign if I was the Stars. Somehow I don't think NHL refs are getting paid to throw games by the mafia. Or however that story went.
Doktor Kosmos
What makes you so sure? Seriously though... Am I the only one who thinks there's something fishy about this? Do we know for certain that this is a real campaign and not just a prank made up by someone?

JoeLassister
I think Florida and Nashville more needed this kind of ad than Dallas no ?
BTH
Good ads but I don't find any of them funny at all.
Tony
Didn't notice these ads. Nice work. It's about time someone tried something unique from a marketing stand-point.
habs rule
hey did the stars hire Don Cherry as ad rep? They must have at least consulted him. :hlogo:

Tony
I hope the NHL picks up some momentum with this whole marketing direction (well, from the Dallas one that is).
Pierre the Great
Doubt Bettman would pick up on this. He's not that smart. Of course Cuban loves them because he knows the ads will work. He's a marketing genius. I mean gosh he made the Dallas Mavericks freaking cool. lol Bettman will probably make Dallas put the ads down because Bettman is the protege of Stern. Don't want to hurt daddy feelings.
