puck7x
This game will answer alot of question for me, questions like... Will Lecavalier show up and play for Tampa during the 2nd round? Will playing against his boyhood idol-team motivate him? How will playing agains the habs also effect the Bolts other Quebec players? Will Theodore keep up his late-1st-round stellar play vs the Bruins in the 2nd round? Who will be the better goaltender in this series? Will the habs 2nd line show up? Ryder had tons of chances in the Bruins series... Ribeiro could of also played better. Which lines will be matched up against each other? Will Julien try to go power vs power and match Koivu vs St Louis? Or will Julien check the St Louis line vs the Dowd line? ... Will Tortolella (sp?) counter Julien's matchups? How will the habs big slow D's play against Tampa's speedy forwards? How many times will Komisarek, Rivet or Souray be caught flat-footed? (Just be glad Quintal is injured...) Lets see what happens... :ghg:
Fanpuck33_
Do you guys think Sunny will play? His speed would really help I think. A line with him, Bulis, and Dowd/Begin could do a decent job keeping up with St. Louis' line.
Prime Minister Koivu
Originally posted by Fanpuck33Do you guys think Sunny will play? His speed would really help I think. We had great success against the bruins and to start screwing with the lines now would not be good. I am so freaking excited about this series. Unfortunately, I have to work till 8:30. I will mis the first period :hlogo:
Habinator33
"Tampa is a 2 line team and Montreal is a 1 line team. Stop that 1 line and you won the series." -Barry Melrose(still sore about 1993) Anyways i hope Ribeiro-Ryder make him eat those words. Keys to winning this series: Show Up.(habs tend to go stretches where they just don't show) Play every game like it's the last game in the series. Play a physical team game. Tampa isn't that physical but they are fast we need to slow them down. play disciplined not like early in Boston series. Don't wanna give this team powerplay opportunities. Jose Theodore can he take the next step which is carry a team into the 3rd round of the playoffs something which hasn't been done since Roy left. sakiqc
Some comparative stats : http://www.habsworld.net/show_big_news.php?id=553 - Koivu has 7 pts in 4 games vs Tampa this year - TB won 2 times vs MTL this year... both credited to Grahame. - Dykhuis is the only Habs player with playoffs experience vs TB: he has 1 goal and 3 pts in 6 GP with 4 PIM. - Andreychuk vs MTL in playoffs: 11 pts in 12 games http://www.habsworld.net/show_big_news.php?id=
Quebecois
I can't wait, let's keep the momentum going from last round and carry it through this one! :ghg: I'm looking for Ryder to finally get one after having so many glorious chances. Kovalev
I just saw at RDS that Nicklas Sundstrom will replace Langdon tonight.
TooManyMenOnTheIce
Barry Melrose is unbelievable. I don't think he has ever uttered an objective word on the Canadiens. For those of us that have to watch on ESPN, he's going to be tough to listen to in between periods. Let's hope the Habs can shut him up like they did in '93. Dalhabs
Damn... Well I guess we dont need a goon like Langdon against Tampa since they arent as uglyplaying as the Bruins. GO SWEDE GO (Sundström) :ghg:

V
THANK GOD, CBC listened to me and got us Cuthbert and Millen instead of Duffus (Healy) and Ruffus (the other guy)
puck7x
Sundstrom is in for Langdon. I guess CJ doesnt forsee a physical series... Though the Bolts are dressing 2 goons (Roy/Dingman) Damn , they've got those stupid thunder-sticks in Tampa... I hate those things. Hulk Hogan's daughter is singing the anthems. :ghg:

puck7x
1st is over, scoreless game. We'll, we played this first period better then we did the first period of the last series... lol .... Both teams commited alot of turnovers which resulted in the scoring chances, most of the giveaways came from the D. Brisebois needs to calm down, or he'll give the game away... I hate to single him out, but its too easy.
