SAKS-AVENUE
I'm expecting a bunch of goals tonight. 8-5 Montreal! Latendresse-3 goals Higgins- 2 Brisebois Markov Grabs Saku is in on 6 goals. GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
brboo
Bégin and Kostopoulos scratched http://www.radio-canada.ca/sports/ho...w_samedi.shtml Grabovski is going to replace Bégin. Also, Streit will play as a forward and Gorges as a dman. I don't like Kostopouls being scratched I would rather it be Brisebois and Streit still play defense but I am interested to see how this will work and what the new lines will look like. I like that lineup, Streit played his best hockey at forward last year. It can't hurt. I wonder if he will play with Koivu again. I'm expecting a bunch of goals tonight. 8-5 Montreal! Call up Laps or Kosty Jr.
simonus
Yeah but really dressing 8 defenseman and playing 2 as forwards seriously? Call up Laps or Kosty Jr. Agreed... If you are gonna bench Begin, why not bring in Lapierre? Lever supposedly said (according to team 990) that Sergei ain't ready, but I wouldn't mind seeing him up here for a few soon. Either A: he is ready or B: he ain't ready and will rededicate himself to getting ready (or C: he won't be ready but think he was and get all pissy). SAKS-AVENUE
Boy oh boy Ottawa is getting bombed by the Rangers in the 1st. 3-0. Another must win for us if we hope to catch them. If not 8th place is only a few games away.

lazy26
This is a must win as far as I'm concerned. After last night, we'd better play the full 60 minutes and come out flying. Mason can be gotten to, so if we pepper him early, I like our chances. GO HABS GO!!!

Habsfan24
As per CKAC and Markov79fan on HF boards. Lines for tonight might look something like this. higgins-plekanec-kovalev kostitsyn-graboski-ryder streit-koivu-smolinski latendresse-chipchura-dandenault Carbo is really trying something new. Saku on the third line.

KoZed
According to RDS now as well apparently. Confirmed... I actually like the make up of those lines. Plex & Kovy get a prime winger in Higgins... Grabs and #### are naturals together and they might get Ryder going... Lats & Chips always been playing well together in rookie tournaments and training camps; they should both benefit from having a speedy vet on their side. Streit-Koivu-Smoke... call it the struggling line because all 3 guys have been slumping lately.
Habsfan24
Hopefully Higgins can start playing like a prime winger because lately he has really been looking like Jan Bulis out there. It will be interesting to see how these line ups work out. I am optimistic though and I think Kovalev can have a big game on the first line. I'll cut Higgs some slack because i think he's bothered by an ankle injury. It's obvious that his skating is affected since he can't cut behind D's or spin on himself with the same ease he showed earlier this season. ShortHanded
i feel a bit of your frustration, JMMR. I like that some of the younger guys are gaining leadership positions on the team, but Higgins has done little to impress so far this year. I used to be equally fanatic about komi & higgins, but their performances has really led me to believe that Komi deserves a leadership role more. One bad game and suddenly we're hating on Higgins? He's a (gigantic) part of the future of this hockey club. Even when he's not on the score sheet, he's constantly giving his best effort. wow! just read through the whole game thread and I gotta say, ppl are really a little overworked about Higgins. Yeah, he's not playing fantastic according to the stats, as in not burying all of his chances, but he's got 9 goals already, right? Not too too bad, I don't think, and you can't question his effort most games. Also, I'm almost sure he's injured. I LOVE how Komi's playing, but their roles are completely different, so it's hard to compare. Komi's not expected to put up the same stats on offense. He's a monster out there and I"m very happy for it, but it's his 5th or 6th full season, not third, so why are we even comparing the two of them? I have to say though, I don't think higgins is a 40/40 guy, at least not this year, but I don't think that means he's all talk, no action either. He works crazy hard, and gives his all every shift, and often enough, he makes stuff happen. That's all I ask.

simonus
Simonus currently taking bets on how long those line will last. I'll go first: 12 minutes. extra points if you can give the first new trio to appear. I'll say: Latendresse-Koivu-Kovalev
Cataclaw
How about these lines?
