Apathy is worse amongst Canadian young people more so then US young kids. 18-35. Which is why my generation is the anti-hope generation. This isn't the 60s where everyone had this idealism. People who want to take down the liberty statue on the capitol and put a giant cross signifying this a Christian country where the rule of God is the constitution. So I can't really do that. I'm going from one of the poorer ridings in Canada to the richest. I'm evening moving student unions reps from CFS to an anti-CFS group. I still don't understand the split, yeah you don't like the NDP party, that's nice, but wait, you really think the Liberals or lol the Tories are going to listen to students? In a province where we have a Liberal Party government who are just hell bent on destroying students every year you go to the Liberals??? So they've killed the student movement. lovely. Plus the newspaper is filled with neo-liberals who I despise (not if they're conservatives, but if they say they're liberals or ndp people). UBC is on the wrong end of town lol. Basically wondered how he keeps going on working strong for things like social justice, etc during a time in our country where we (democratic socialists) have been vilified and hated for years in this country. How can he keep going in a country so full of hate against us. It'd be cool if he replied. I'll write the same letter to other world party leaders although I don't know who.
