blaze53
Damn, Bégin is out as well for pretty long too, who's getting called up now?
Psycing
If they keep O'Byrne around, I doubt anyone gets the call - if they send him down... maybe Kostitsyn jr. makes the big show?
blaze53
Yep CJAD hinted a possible appearance by lil #### in the lineup, I hope the shakeup brings some life back into the Habs... they're supposed to win the cup this season!
saskhab
I couldn't think of a worse environment for a kid to make his NHL debut in.
BCHabnut
My money is on D'Agostini, Lil #### or Milroy.
Psycing
I couldn't think of a worse environment for a kid to make his NHL debut in. Bulldogs aren't doing much better. I wonder if they might call up a young gun once the long Christmas time road trip starts.
JMMR
Well I hope he gets better. But retires this is good news for the Habs. I hope they call up Sergei Kostitsyn imagine they call up another defenseman and play with 10 or so in the lineup.

Slumping with the Bulldogs is about 100 times better than slumping with the Habs.

Neech
Maybe if someone's taken his spot for good once he recovers he'll waive his no-trade clause and we can get something, anything for him.
JLP
in my eyes Habs look better without Smolinski
markierung
This is a great Christmas present. The more playing time that chips gets the better
Easy Ryder
Smolinski should consider retirement. This team never needed him.

I'm not expecting to get anything for him. The best we can hope for is he retires, or gets little to no playing time for the rest of the season and Chipper gets the ice time he would have. No other team is gonna want him at what's left of 2 M the way he was playing.
saskhab
He could help in a limited role down the line still. And I wasn't a fan of his signing at all. He's just not a good C.
JMMR
Well since people are posting in this again. Smoke needs to go no place here for him.

Hell, a fourth rounder is better than nothing, if he's not playing at all.

For the good of the team I hope he takes the rest of the season off, he's got his money and sure plays like he could care less. He's good in a sense that just going through the motions is NHL caliber I suppose. He's got nothing left in the tank and is hurting us. Hopefully Carbo sees this and uses him as a spare part for the rest of the year.

I hope not, but expect otherwise.
