lazy26
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=226837&hubname=nhl DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings have signed goaltender Chris Osgood to a three-year contract extension. Osgood is earning US$800,000 this season and was slated for unrestricted free agency July 1. His new deal will average close to $1.5 milliion a season, a source told The Canadian Press. The team was expected to make it official later Wednesday. The 35-year-old native of Peace River, Alta., leads all NHL goalies with a 1.68 goals-against average and is tied for the lead with a .932 save percentage while sporting a 19-2-1 record. All this while sharing the net with star veteran Dominik Hasek. Since returning to the Wings for a second tour of duty after the lockout, Osgood is 50-11-12 in two plus seasons. Wow, what a great signing if he continues at this pace. Detroit always does a great job at locking up their players.
Tony
Easy deal to make. Osgood wants to stay in Detroit and Detroit wanted him. Happy to see that Chris got what he wanted.

Habsfan84
I dont think that Osgood is amazing or anything becauuse you dont really need a great goalie in Detroit to get you wins.
House11
I like this ... Osgood understands his role with the team and wants to be there for the rest of his career ... even if it's as a back up. A very good back up by his #'s this year.
