Habsfan
Ugh... a goal on a rebound Huet couldn't control... :| They are reviewing the goal, but I think it's good. Like I said, another mistake bu Huet...it's unfortunate, cause Huet was doing a good job until now...and once again all those missed opportunities will come back to bite us in the ass. MFT77
Why Huet keeps screwing with the puck is beyond me. Cost himself the shutout.
brboo
What did he do try to play the puck with his stick in the crease, or did he give it away?
brobin
I don't know... that was a fairly good play, hard out along the boards. The defensemen do that all the time and get picked off. He was in no danger until the shot hit his stick and bounced out on him (instead of dropping down). I think he was pissed about not pulling in the rebound, not playing the puck. BCHabnut
Poor Huet needs to not play the puck.

KoZed
why did Huet play the puck? A hab was coming in right behind him . . . . argh You surprised? Huet made unbelievable saves in the 2nd to keep it 2-0... but as always he couldn't do it for 60 mins.
JLP
Are they taking the play to us now? Habs look like they are settling in for a six-minute pk, lots of play in the Hbs zone

Habitforming
That one weak goal or unnecessary risk (resulting in a goal) that he takes per game is the reason I don't want him in Montreal after this season.
JLP
yeah Habs stood up at the blueline for a change, forced some turnovers and Pleks had a nice chance
KoZed
That one weak goal or unnecessary risk (resulting in a goal) that he takes per game is the reason I don't want him in Montreal after this season. He has the type of mental breakdowns during games that will give me grey hair when we'll be in the playoffs. Imagine an opposing forward on a breakaway during overtime with Huet in goals... Well, until you show me a better goalie, i do want him. That was not that bad a goal. It seems for some people that unless he is absolutely perfect, he is terrible and can't be trusted. No goalie is perfect. Way to go Kovy.. sealed the deal.

KoZed
3-1 victory... we've never really been in danger except a few minutes in the 3rd...

Imagine an opposing forward on a breakaway during overtime with Huet in goals... what was this big mental error? the fact that he cleared the puck all the way to the point (just like the D do about 100 times a game) and got back in time to be set for the shot. Or was it that fact that he let out a rebound to a guy who should have been tied up by Komi.... Seriously, I don't get what the problem is. It was unfortunate, but it was not like he took the puck and passed it up the middle for an empty net goal...
tokyohabs
Cause Kovy is El Pimp. Well done, way to rebound after the disaster in Manhattan. I'm sure Huet's adventure was another gem. At least we got a full 2 points, giving them nothing, and it sounds like he was good overall. Did Higgins play the game with Koivu? If so, what did they look like? Toren
whew...why didn't he feed Plex? Kovy you bastard The defenceman played the pass to Pleks the entire time. We're not the only ones who remembered that he's already got two. If you look at the play again, Kovalev used Pleks as a mule to flatfoot the defender. He made it look like he'd drop it to Plekanec, then went around him. The defenceman fell because he was playing the drop pass to Plekanec for the hat-trick.
