Wamsley01
What are you saying to Halak if you don't give him a chance soon? Neither goalie has been able to stop a beach ball the last 3 games. Price blew both goals, the first one his cross crease movement was abysmal, that is his bread and butter. The second one allowed Columbus to play their game with even more conviction. This goaltending is Abbyesque and if it continues they will be fighting for 8th again. The 2nd was better. We should have played that way in the 1st period. That's a really tight defensive team, though. Coming back is a long shot. These guys need to buckle down in first periods. You can't really blame Price...even if he hadn't let in that stinker, we'd still be down 1-0. Come on CC, he froze on the cross ice pass, his net coverage was brutal. This should be 0-0 right now going into the 3rd. Edited February 24, 2008 by Wamsley01

I'll get chewed out. But shit man......his play is brutal. I hate the fact he always looks lost from blue line shots . He never knows where the puck is. Easy Ryder
With tonight line up i am not surprise we have no guts there. Bégin was doing all right as a centre. Smolinski between two energy player kills the energy. Koivu did great against Pittsburg, i cannot say how i feel about him tonight, could get banned. Leclaire is a really good goalie but not THAT good, if some hard workers work the puck in it will go throught. Colombus is sitting on this advance and that could kill them. Wamsley01
Leclaire is f**ckin great!!!! Leclaire is far from great. Hitchcock made Cechmanek and Esche look great. It is the system. Price looks awful tonight Edited February 24, 2008 by Wamsley01

johnnyhasbeen
I started by watching the pregame on CBC, can't believe they went to a leafs game after the ceremony. I won't mention who, but someone crapped on me when I said Halak needed some game time up. Now I wish he had a few games in so we knew what to expect. We have to go with him now, and hopefully trade Huet. His only value is what we get for him. He will not be resigned at this rate. The future is now. We are down, not out. Go Habs Go! Price has settled down well since the first.
KoZed
He's really looking like he might get a SHUTOUT Yeah, looks like another SHUTOUT for Leclaire, who already has the most SHUTOUTS in the League. Easy to get a SHUTOUT on the Habs, they're missing tons of chances so this SHUTOUT isn't the hardest SHUTOUT to get. Shutty shut shut shutoooooout! brobin
We don't need to trade any goalie.. lots of teams have goalies that struggle in these dog days of the season. They will both snap out of it. If we have to bring up Halak we can send Price down, but I think we need to let Huet play a few regardless of how he plays. He needs to struggle through it. brobin
Demoralizing being down by weak goals again Sure is, but its about time the guys put some pucks in the net. Even though they were bad goals, it is only 2 - 0 and there is no excuse for the lack of offense. Crash the net, but the puck on the net.... good things will happen. Sometimes goalies cost you a game. You cannot continually play from behind every night because your goalies lay first period eggs. They have come out of the first with a lead once in the last 8 games. That was going to bite them in the ass sooner or later
