Fanpuck33
If anyone has other pictures of Habs holding the torch, please let me know so I can incorporate them. @ "To you from failing hands we throw the torch. Be yours to hold it high." Let's lift the torch, play hard, and put the Flyers in a hole. Canadiens lead 1-0 The Habs look to improve upon an unlikely win in game 1. No announced lineup changes for Montreal. Habitforming
Unlikely win? Think about it this way. The Flyers wake up this morning and realize that they are in for a world of hurt in this series because they caught evey break possible in game one. For example..... Habs hit the post multiple times....Kostitsyn missed a penalty shot.... Brisbois puts one in his own net.... Lupul scores off a skate....etc etc AND THEY STILL LOST!. There is no way they get one break like that in every game let alone that many and still manage to lose. I look at things differently I guess. Fanpuck33
Unlikely win? When you're trailing going into the last minute, then winning the game is the unlikely outcome.
TheDriveFor25
No likely lineup changes? I am surprised. I thought we'd see Ryder or Latendresse! (Or Both) Big game tomorrow, a 2-0 series lead would be HUGE! GO HABS GO GO HABS GO GO HABS GO GO HABS GO
MMPL
Fanpuck's Luck better not run out Any news yet on lineup changes (Breez, Dandy)? Key game, we can't give up home ice advantage! :ghg:
JMMR
I hope Brisebois does not play, its not that he scored on his own net but he just did not have a good game.

lazy26
If we improve on last game's passing, play better in our on zone and stop putting pucks in our own net, I like our chances. GO HABS GO!!!!
KoZed
I think the big key in the next game will be for the Habs to try as hard as possible to score more goals than the Flyers. If they can do that, I like our chances. :hlogo:

jcc
Dandenault and Brisebois did not have a good game. I was also disappointed by Gorges and, to a lesser extent, Streit. Perhaps time to bring back O'Byrne, Latendresse and Ryder, indeed. No likely lineup changes? I am surprised. I thought we'd see Ryder or Latendresse! Habsfan84
I was also disappointed by Gorges I actually thought he played a good game. He has been the Habs most solid player i feel.
TheDriveFor25
Yeah, I was happy with Gorges. Thought he did well. Streit is a great playmaer, but he needs scorers on his line, not checkers! When will the official lineup be known?? GO HABS GO GO HABS GO GO HABS GO GO HABS GO

Wamsley01
Is anybody else getting tired of the Philly media whining about Kovy's goal and the Richards penalty? Get over it
kenadian
I'm tired of our poor paly in our own end.........seems like all 5 guys get fixated on the puck, and not playing good AGRESSIVE positional play. I wish some of the guys would elevate their game and compete hard every shift...........too bad we can't transplant Begin's line work ethic/hustle to a couple of the other lines...or transplant our top line's scoring ability to the grind line......... The Iron Lung
Philly had the breaks last time and lost... now it's our turn. Habs - 4 Flyers -
Mortis
Is anybody else getting tired of the Philly media whining about Kovy's goal and the Richards penalty? Get over it Maybe they will stop complaining about Richards penalty, now that Richards saw the replay and said it was a penalty: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/flyers..._day_after.html

Perhaps time to bring back O'Byrne, Latendresse and Ryder, indeed. Carbo acknowledged that the Streit-Lapierre-Dandy line was having a rough time for a couple of games now, but he said Streit & Laps were still green in the playoffs and he'd talked to them rather than be hard on them. Tough to bring back Lats without sending Streit back on defense; and we've seen that Streit just can't handle being pressured at all. Also can't really scratch Streit since we don't have anyone who can replace him on the PP.
JoeLassister
Is anybody else getting tired of the Philly media whining about Kovy's goal and the Richards penalty? Get over it yeah, specially cuz this goal still very much less controversial than Kapanen's one against Washington... maybe they could just say "thank you refs" and STFU ! Wamsley01
Maybe they will stop complaining about Richards penalty, now that Richards saw the replay and said it was a penalty: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/flyers..._day_after.html I don't understand the whining about the goal either. Their reasoning is that his stick hit the puck and then hit the crossbar so it had to be a high stick. Such simplistic reasoning. What if the puck hits the heel of the stick that is paralled to the crossbar while the top of the stick is above the crossbar? What if it hit the the shaft just below the blade? etc etc. Then I have to listen to Montreal getting breaks when their first goal was a tip by Breezer and the third one went in off a skate? Revisionist history. If Montreal lost the game we would probably be disappointed that they lost by 1 after 2 fluke goals. Montreal hit 2 posts, missed a penalty shot and had numerous chances to score throughout the game. Why is there this wave that the Flyers were the better team? Just because the Habs tied it late? At worst it was an even game that Montreal was unfortunate to trail. Where was the Philly pounding that awaited us? Lil TlTs had more hits than their big punishing forwards.
