Quebecois
honestly, you're a lucky one then. The best doctors were in New York, my best insurance coverage was in Ohio. I found it ironic that you said I was one of the lucky ones when really you were quite lucky to have a good insurance plan in the States. Look, I'm not saying the Canadian system is perfect. The walk-in clinic that I described is in Milton, but I've had bad experiences elsewhere with long wait times to see a doctor. The root of the issue for me is that there are Americans who are unable to receive the treatment that they require and that alone should be enough to warrant change. I'm still a student so for me to get into the tax issue is somewhat unfair, but I can safely say that I don't mind having to wait a few extra weeks to see a specialist if it means that my fellow Canadians can enjoy the right to be accepted and treated at a hospital regardless of their financial status. Fanpuck33
It's cool though, I already voted by phone. How does that work? Seems like that would be open to fraud very easily.
KoZed
I thought the election was postponed till tomorrow?! It's cool though, I already voted by phone. Were you one of those who received a flyer saying that if you're Republican, you vote on the 4th and if you're Democrat, you vote on the 5th? Haha, just heard about that. Freaking hilarious. If anyone was dumb enough to fall for that, they don't deserve to vote, haha.

Maybe so, but it's still dirty, unhanded, anti-democratic tactics. Could say that if anyone is desperate for power enough to resort to that, they don't deserve to be elected. Trizzak
Haha, just heard about that. Freaking hilarious. If anyone was dumb enough to fall for that, they don't deserve to vote, haha. The problem is that a similar flyer but with the days flipped didn't go out as well, so that all the stupid Republicans that fall for it don't vote either. With as text happy as this country is, I am actually surprised some areas haven't tried voting by text, haha. Really, phone would be no worse than in person. It's not like anybody actually checks IDs. Come to think of it, it's pretty easy to fraud absentee voting too. Sadly, the more I think the less outrageous your joke seems. Fanpuck33
I heard that citizens in Washington and Oregon vote by mail now? How dumb is that? You can do that in any state, as far as I know. Absentee voting. It's how I voted while I was in college. People can't always report to their local polling station on election, and that obviously shouldn't prevent them from voting. KoZed
Hehehe, Fanpuck's state just flipped to the Dems! No GOP President ever won without Ohio. Virginia appears to go with McCain. Indiana & Florida are going to be pretty close.

KoZed
It's over. No way McCain can win without Ohio. And winning Ohio allows Obama to "lose" Virginia. Looks like Florida will end up being another late late call.
