The Dandenault injury sucks...not only because he was playing decent hockey, but because it means O'Burned will be back in the lineup.

I've got tickets to the next two games too....so I'll be there to see O'Burned stink it up live.

Brisebois quietly had another solid game, and has played well of late.

+2 and he played 17 minutes, more than Markov.

Carle has been mentioned, but the guy they really should call up is Shawn Belle.

He has been the best Defensman in Hamilton this year, and at 6'1 235 he brings

25 more pounds that Carle.

We had such success with Diago, no reason can't go back now for someone like

Belle now, who has played great all year there.

I hope they even bring up Chipchura for Higgins,

if his MRI means he misses a few games.

More Bulldogs More!

With Dandy out give Belle a shot why not?

It would be quite a thing to call up Belle with O'Byrne in the pressbox.

Now I might understand if you want to give Brisebois a rest for a bit so that O'Byrne and Belle could play, but I can't see Carbo sitting Brisebois for more than a game or two with two roster defensemen on the DL. Maybe Belle (or more likely Carle) gets a 1-3 game cup of coffee, but unless the the AHL callup suddenly reignites the PP, I couldn't imagine anything more long term.

I agree.

I think that unless there is another injury or Carbo wants Breeze to have a rest, then why have Belle in the Presser? He is useless there and it might shoot his confidence.

If I were Gainey I'd say, listen you've done great in Hamilton, keep it up, and you may hear from us soon.

It's Dec. 10, Komi is supposed to be back after Christmas at the latest. I think they'll just keep the group as is right now especially until the end of the homestand. Hamilton is really close by for an emergency recall. On a road trip, they might decide to bring a guy along just in case... and looking at the schedule, there's no scenario for that.

Am I reading this right? CBC is broadcasting Thursday's game vs. Tampa, as well as next Thursday vs. Philly? 3 consecutive Thursdays CBC is showing the Habs? I also don't see them broadcasting the Buffalo game two Saturdays from now. Weird.

If they do call up a guy, I doubt he'll play over the 6 we already have. At least not unless one of Breeze or O'Byrne really struggles.

If you go to the habs website and take a look at the pictures of the new training facility theres a pic of Komi running on a treadmill there  he should be back sooner than later!

First Dandenault deserves a lot of credit for his play in replacement at D, 12 -14 minutes of quality play.

O'byrne can now jump in, if anything he should have learned from Dandenault example is not trying

to be everywhere and keep the game simple.

I saw a glimpse of Brisebois in a interview and he looked 50 years old. Yes his play is effective playing

19-20 minutes a game but he is wearing down.

A D from Hamilton should be called up. Carle or Belle ??

If it's only 8 more days, there's no point in bringing anyone up. That's only 3 games to deal with the same 6 d-men, who were our top 6 when Komi first went down anyways. They know the system and most importantly each other. After Christmas, the team can decide on O'Byrne's future with the team.

I wouldn't use the term quality, but he helped patch a whole temporarily. It's sad for him, but I'm happy that this gives O'Byrne a chance to come back in the lineup, this team will be far better if O'Byrne rergains his confidence than with Dandeneault. I only hope that Carbonneau uses him properly, perhaps only 12-14 minutes for now on the third pairing with Bouillon so that he can regain confidence against weaker lines, re-simplify his game, and progressively go back to his own style.

Besides Brisebois is doing a decent-enough job for now with Hamrlik, so there's no need to put too many responsibilities on O'Byrne at this point.

DELETE THIS POST! If they read it, they'll think we're satisfied or something and stop showing the games! lol

Do Quebeckers actually watch the games on CBC instead of RDS? I only switch off RDS when they're playing on TSN.

I don't really care about earing the sticks and body checks so no, I'll keep watching RDS.

Depends...I usually watch the game in French on RDS...but if the Habs are losing, I switch over to TSN or CBC(depending on which channel the Habs are also playing on) in the hopes that maybe it'll change things!

I know, I know! It's weird and doesn't actually change anything... that's the way I do it!

I don't get RDS in HD. So I'll watch the CBC, TSN, and last night... Sportsnet West broadcasts when I can due to them being in HD. The only CBC I get in HD is CBC Toronto, so usually those games I'll watch in RDS.

I personally prefer hearing all that, you can actually feel that the game is live. The broadcasts on RDS are just so dull and monotone; while sometimes it seems that the crowd is quiet and that there's no atmosphere, it is actually completely different on channels like TSN and CBC that don't put ALL the emphasis on commentary.

I just prefer game action over commentary than the other way around... espcecially since most of the time I'm not even paying attention to what they're saying...

yeah, i'm not reeeally payin attention to Pierre and Benoit either. I often watch hockey on mute when I watch it alone. I don't really mind about the sounds of the game. We all know how a hit sounds when we see the speed of the hitter and how the receiver hit the board. Well, call me crazy, but I think I'm able to ear the hockey sounds even when on mute...

Ryan 'Bambi' O'Burned was at it again tonight....I can't wait for Komisarek to come back so this useless clown goes back to the press box.

(Those of you that don't get the Bambi reference, watch the following YouTube clip to refresh your memory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEP2gjzmGL4 )

I think it should be pretty obvious that O'byrne needs a stint back in Hamilton to help get his confidence back.

He played like 8 minutes tonite, almost twice causing a goal. The only good thing he did was getting in a fight so he'd be off the ice for 5 minutes.

C'mon BG, get a d-man who can fire puck from the point. Even if it is just a PP specialist, he can at least play more than the 10 minutes O'byrne is playing and cannnot be any worse.

Even when Komi gets back, still need someone for depth as Breezer needs a rest once in a while and even Cube.
