Colin
4-1 Carolina. Tanguay, Markov, A.Kost, and Hamr all go down with extended injuries. Powerplay goes 0/14. O'Byrne scores into his own empty net again. Habs goal is scored by Maxwell, who plays a solid game, prompting many fans to label him as the saviour and take the reigns of the first line for the rest of the season. After the game, Carbo is fired and replaced by Pat Quinn.

MFT77
As nice as it is to see the youngsters in the lineup, it would be even better if some of the young vets starting producing some offense. Need some offense from the like of Pleks, the Kostitsyn's, and Lats. Time to generate some offense. Go Habs Go.

simonus
Plex just goes to hell the closer he gets to the net. How many times has he lost a scoring chance to falling apart midstride to the goal?

brobin
Pleks can't make a simple pass anymore.. he had lots of time to get that puck to kovy, but he screwed it up.. how about off the boards.. how about lobbing it.. or something.. instead he waits for the defender to get in the lane and then shoots it at him... In any case, I sure hope the refs call this game even.. they just set the standard for a penalty.. it best go both ways.
sbhatt
Not an ideal start to a road game to say the least...3 penalties against in a row.
