saskhab
Game 41 tonight, so last game of the first half of the year. I like that for Game 41 and 42, we play the two teams in the East that have a better record than us. Here's a great chance to show there's more upside to this team than what they've shown so far this year. I honestly don't know if there is more upside to Boston this year than what they've shown, Washington's tough to read in that regard... they can be a better defensive team but that goaltending.... Anyways, hopefully we can play the Caps well for once. Both games so far have been duds for the CH.
RobRock
well, surprise, surprise, the brASS in TO thinks folks in Atlantic Canada would rather watch the plodding Flyers over Ovechkin, one of the top three offensive stars in the league. I don't even know why I bother anymore.

brobin
Good start for them so far.. Big save by Halak.. good pressure on Washington.. good saves on Semin too!!
brobin
Shame Kovy spent more time watching Pleks go to the net rather then spread out and get in position to pull the D away.. Edited January 11, 2009 by brobin
brobin
Crap.. outplaying them but they get a nice bounce for a goal... boys needs to keep pressing on Johnson...
RobRock
Semin deflects a shot from the point and the Caps are on the board

RobRock
The Caps are the most disciplined team in the league. It's amazing how they can tie up the opponents' sticks without getting penalties.
brobin
Wow... after all the crap Washington pulls in front of the net (pushing Kovy down when he doesn't have the puck), they get a PP... glad Pleks taught them a lesson!!!
simonus
kostitsyn with the pass to himself?! beautiful
simonus
great series of saves from Halak! He has saved the habs more than a few times tonight. not a bad start, wouldn't mind if the habs tightened up just a bit.
brobin
Good first period.. if they could finish a few more plays and get a bounce or two, the would be up 3-1 by now... I hope they can keep it up, because Washington was not playing that well... if they get rolling we will need some more goals!
RobRock
so far, so good. not many brain cramps, got a few good chances, no one caught out of position. Refs seemed to be calling a loose game that period.
