Chris
Laraque was fine. It will take a few games to get back in game shape. He through a couple hits. What's with Price sucking? How do you blame for any of the 3 goals? Goal 1 was a deflection of a defenseman's stick. Blame the defenseman. The second goal was a 1 timer 15 feet out from the slot top shelf. Not many stop that. Thank Komi for gol 3, his turnover was bad enough then the shot deflected off his stick. So if it makes you feel better to blame Price, i guess that's up to you. They played ok, mistakes always cost this team. the play well in the D zone at times then all of a sudden the d turns it over and leaves someone alone in front of the net and they bury it. They rarely create offense because very few people head to the net, they stand around too much on the PP. The top offensive guys can't bury the puck. I agree with others, no reason not to move Kovalev, i know it may be hard to replace his massive 13 goal output but it will send a message. There is a few others i would consider moving as well. Is it just me or has Komi been really bad at times lately? I'm not sure if Keenan, Bouman and Sutter could get these guys to work for 60 minutes. Price should have saved the first goal but the rest he had no chance at. I don't know what is up with Komisarek. He might be trying to do too much or I wonder if his minutes have been increased. He is making more of those dumb mistakes than he used to. Kovalev went hard to the net after his talk with Carbo. Worked, back checked, fought for pucks. It lasted for one game. He worked hard for one freaking game. It is so disappointing and I hope he is not with our team in March. Patcher-eddie is something fun to watch. I think we have the real deal with him. He is going to dominate the NHL one day. We better not get crushed by the leafs tonight.
Easy Ryder
Is it just me or has Komi been really bad at times lately? ... Yes and the reason is All Star game. He now tries to do fancy with the puck Because of his presence at the all star his value raised too much for it's worth on a contract year. This All star game was the worst case scenario for the CH. And with the game MVP now Kovalev as a head bigger than the locker room entrance. Happy 100th.

I wouldn't exactly blame him for the first goal, but it deflected early enough that you'd have thought he'd have time to react. The third goal is more Price's fault than Komi's fault. Mike tried to throw it around the boards and it took a terrible bounce off the wall, not his fault. Price then exacerbated the situation by knocking the puck right to Connolly. Chris
They were playing poorly before the all star game. In reality they have played poorly for about a month, they just got lucky and won some of those games. I don't think anyone knows about Kovy's head or anything else about that guy except Kovy. I could be wrong but moving that guy may help others to get going. The best offseason move this year will be getting a defensive coach in there. Not Brisby, i heard that may be a possibility. BCHabnut
Kovalev and Price did not play well, but the reason we lost that game was Miller. The guy has been on fire lately. Our loss to Boston and to Buffalo were because we came up against a hot goalie. When you face that hot goalie, that ONE MISTAKE costs you the game. That's why we are picking apart the mistakes and sloppy play. Laraque was really trying to hit out there. Nice to see that.
sbhatt
SID NOTE !!! Someone in here awhile back mentioned that when we suck our ex players thrive. Check dallas NYR last night, Ribs with 4pnts, ouch I pointed it out....and it's so damn true. Especially hurts when it's a centre that's kicking ass, since we don't have a single centre putting up good numbers now that Lang is out.
