HABBER-oooooKNOWS
Any idea if/when Lang gets back? The earliest I've heard, 2nd round. :puke:
Tony
The magic number right now would be 12 points. As of now, the Habs have 7 games left and have 86 points. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/standings/ Rank Team GP W L OT PTS 8 Montreal 75 38 27 10 86 9 Florida 76 37 28 11 85 10 Buffalo 75 37 30 8 82 Assuming Buffalo and Florida each win the rest of their games, they would both have 96 and 97 points respectively. That means, the Habs basically need 98 points to make the playoffs, so another 12 more as you said. Obviously, this number will change since this is all based on the premise that Florida wins all the rest of their games.
JMMR
I honestly think 93 should be good. Florida, Buffalo and the Rangers can not win out.

Not only that, but it's based on the premise that the Rangers, Penguins and Hurricanes all finish with more points than us as well. The Rangers play the Hurricanes and us in their final stretch, while the Panthers play the Penguins once, so it is mathematically impossible for every team that still is in the hunt to get every single point available to them. 92 or 93 points is a realistic lowball cutoff point. We need at least 92 to have a shot. Probably 93.
Tony
For sure, I'm just assuming for the worst case scenario but the Rangers are a team to keep an eye on. They don't got an easy schedule.
Wamsley01
4 wins will do it.
Habsfan
4 wins will do it. I thikn they'll need 4 wins and at least one overtime loss. 8 points would be cutting it close...too much for my liking!
